What would you do if your teen daughter posted a rant on FB about her parents that treat her like a slave, along with lots of inappropriate languange and disparaging remarks about friends of the family? Check out this dad's response:

Yep. My gut tells me that this dad probably showed little respect for his daughter, but demanded it from her, showed his "love" by buying her lots of stuff, probably yelled and grounded her alot as a form of "discipline", but rarely spent quality time with her, modeled good behavior, or showed much real affection. So, now in turn, she is disrespectful and rebellious. Good luck repairing that relationship.

I am very anti-guns too, But I know people who own them. I think their views about gun ownership and exercising their rights to use them are a little different than my own.... Just don't break any laws.. Please!

I think the gun makes this guys anger issues very scary.

We had neighbors once that were gun collectors, the husband always went to gun shows and by the time the DS was three or four he would take him with him, I thought that was kind of weird but to each their own..... I don't think this story was as much about him shooting the computer as it was how he addressed the spoiled behavior of his teenager, And frankly I think he spoke for parents who would think of saying the same things if their kid ever went off on them the way this one did.

I just thought it was wasteful . . . I'd take the computer to use for my own, give it to a sibling, or sell the darn thing.

I don't think it's ever appropriate to use a gun while you imagine you're teaching your kid a lesson. It's one thing to get angry, but bringing a gun into it is just scary, imo.
