Since apparently the poster to whom I asked these questions to didn't really want to debate, maybe the rest of you would be interested.

I drove 2 hours yesterday to attend a meeting today ... adn teh coworker that went with me and I had a loooong conversation about menopause and hysterectomies on the way. Then at dinner, one of the main topics of conversation (there were 9 of us - all women) was hot flashes/menopause!

I thought about you yesterday when I was standing out in the rain, sweating bullets, while GAB was wearing a coat and shivering.

Thjat sounds like me. The doc suggested an ablation and it was the perfect solution. At the time we weren't sure if it was the beginnings of menopause (I was 38) or if my body was just whacked. Didn't matter.l ABlation was the right treatment. But now, a year and a half an 208470 hot flashes later, I'm pertty certain it was the beginning of menopause.

I had an ablation when I was 36, but it only helped for a few months.

It was obvious to the attendees that my father's funeral was my father's funeral. The decor, the music, the atmosphere was very much my dad. It was untraditional in it's content, but tradtional in format and place. I've had too many people to count tell me it was the best service they'd ever attended.

An example? The main musical piece of the service was Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb.

I love and appreciate the beauty of the ceremony and ritual in Catholic services - mass, weddings, funerals - but I truly truly love to see funerals that are a reflection of the deceased. I'd rather see a wedding and/or funeral reflect the honorees, rather than reflect a tradition or ceremony that is based on something else. Does that make sense?

I wouldn't be concerned enought o make a special appt, but it's definitely worthy of a discussion at your yearly exam.

Heh. I was 38. But that's because I had an ablation. Best. Decision. Ever.
