Here are our usual roles: none of this is ALWAYS, just usually: Me: meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking. Finances. Schedule management. Garden. Dh: dishes/kitchen cleanup. Laundry. Yay work. Computer and electronics management. Cat box. Dh and I both fairly equally: bedroom cleanup, bathroom, patio care, each take care of our own car. Kids: their own rooms, putting away their own laundry, their own bathrooms, setting the table. Both help with yard work when needed. All of us: cleaning and care of common areas. And our own stuff.

The sewing room is mine unless I can talk Dylan to emptying the trash can and recycle container but I do the vacuuming and cleaning in that room.  Dylan takes out the recycle and trash in the rest of the house; deals with the containers on trash day.

Chris.  More to follow as I think of them, probably.

Dahlia does most of it and I pay her accordingly. Dh shops all the heavy stuff, dog food, laundry soap etc, since I am not allowed to lift much. He also takes out the garbage and does the bulk of the dog walking (3 dogs that get walked 3X a day) as well as the vast majority of the money-making. I do light shopping and cook when I feel like it. The rest of the time we eat out. I don't have a chandelier though.

Applause please

That's pretty much the way we handle chores.

No real break down. If something needs to be done, it gets done.

Is this something new?  I thought you have always said that you are so particular that you do most of the work but your dh "helps" from time to time and that you go behind your children and redo what they do to bring it up to "your" standards.

I do most of it.  Joel does a lot but there are some things that he is physically unable to do.  He can't get into our laundry room, which is where the litter box is, so laundry and cat poop are all mine.  Which is fine...I don't mind the cat poop and I can not stand for anyone else to do my laundry.

I'm particular about my laundry, too, Lauren.

On Wednesdays we wear pink.
