Yes and my car charger only works when my van is running. If I forget to put it in to charge right away and I am not driving far, well it doesn't barely get any further charge. Yes if I am on my way to work I can plug in my phone to a plug in near my desk. But if I am a sahm (and that seems to be the person who is arguing they are always available without fail) I cannot plug in anywhere at any stores or errands that I go to. I only have the car charger to rely on when I am out.

But your name infers that you have 2 blessings--2 kids. Do they both go to the middle school? Could not one be at an elementary school (or wherever your 2nd blessing is & is it possible he/she could get hurt while you are at the middle school & therefore not reachable by cell phone?
And how often you are at the hospital or in the rich part of town or at the store that doesn't have reception (that was my example from many posts back) is not the point. Children do not just get hurt at times when you do have the cell phone on or when you are at home reachable on your home phone. Things happen at all times, any time & you cannot predict when that will be.

I was clearly speaking for myself, not a general statement about all wohms or sahms, let alone what the access to those items is for "many sahm's"...as I stated before in my post, during the time that I am a wohm, I am more available than the times that I am a sahm.
I'll add on that later today I have to go to the hospital for a dr. appointment & this hospital does not have cell phone service in it--I'll be there at least 1.5 hours, so I will be unavailable by phone. Now I am not a sahm, I'm a wohm. BUT--stay with me here--This dr. office/hospital bldg does not just take patients that woh. Many sahms go here for appointments too. that means they are unavailable by phone when they too are in this building.
When I am there, but dh will be at work. But he is not available at all times during his work day, due to his work situation. He checks his phone periodically, but most likely if anyone calls him during his work shift you generally get voicemail and he calls you back later. So there'll be a good spread of time that neither of us will be available this afternoon.

This sahm forgets to turn on her phone half the time. Or it is dead or leaves it at home. I just can't get used to having a cell phone. I am a late adapter.
