There are several grocery stores near me, right in the middle of somewhere, inside which there is no cell reception whatsoever.

"But your name infers that you have 2 blessings--2 kids. Do they both go to the middle school? Could not one be at an elementary school (or wherever your 2nd blessing is & is it possible he/she could get hurt while you are at the middle school & therefore not reachable by cell phone?"

I was speaking only of the other person's post and the school she could not get reception in.
What does my status have to do with her's and why is it important in this thread?

"Things happen at all times, any time & you cannot predict when that will be."

Exactly.

"What does my status have to do with her's and why is it important in this thread?"

I already explained that to you in a previous thread.

"<>

They are currently 13 and 11."

So if you were a sahm with your first child, you had a cellphone in 1996?

"<>

I was clearly speaking for myself, not a general statement about all wohms or sahms, let alone what the access to those items is for "many sahm's"...as I stated before in my post, during the time that I am a wohm, I am more available than the times that I am a sahm."

If you had a cellphone though wouldn't that have been an extra source of communication?

"I'm using the definition that is sometimes used on this board of a sahm, which includes having a paying job outside or inside the home."

Why would you use the definition from a messageboard?

I would hope so too but many times parents change jobs or change phone numbers. Not all workplaces are in the phone book also.
