For something like that wouldn't your husband go outside frequently to check his phone?

It is and it isn't....but family wasn't even on my mind when I made the comment.

This was the comment from chimaira that I was thinking of, especially the second part since prior posts were about not having family nearby:

I have spotty reception in my children's middle/high school--then you wouldn't need to worry because you would be at the school and I thread is about a child getting hurt in school, correct?

No, I clearly said in my first response to this question, having a cell phone varied.

As I have stated numerous times now, no not always....it depends on the reception in the area that I am...often times it was totally useless.

Our underground garage gets cell service. Sometimes in the morning I go to the car first, expecting the kids to follow me, and when they dawdle, I have to call them to tell them to hurry up.

You never went outside once while waiting to check your cellphone to see if anyone called?

No, I really wasn't expecting anyone to call me between midnight and three a.m.
