Thank you and I think we all have different ones, one is not better than the other...we all work inside our own comfort zones and comfort zones are different for everyone.
They aren't that uncommon around here. People put their boats in them mostly. We don't have a boat. But probably if I were a SAHM, we'd have a boat. And a lake to ride it in. And super-loud cell phones we could hear over the noise of the boat and the wind. But alas, I WOH!
But even if she didn't, the possibility exists that someone does - and since the argument was that having a cell phone makes one available at all times, the point is valid, no matter who is being talked about.
No, I clearly said in my first response to this question, having a cell phone varied."
Did you sahm varied? In the way you defined it from a messageboard?

As I have stated numerous times now, no not always....it depends on the reception in the area that I am...often times it was totally useless. But again, that wasn't the point of my post, the point of my post was that I have more ways of being in contact as a wohm then I do when I'm a sahm."
Sahm by the definition of a messageboard?

Beause we are posting on that message board, why would I use one that doesn't apply here?"
I just gave you real definitions not by a person on a messageboard. Do you always take your definitions of words by someone's opinion you get on a messageboard?
Maybe I am the odd one out but I think I would have at least texted my husband (not to wake him by a ringing phone) to tell him what was going on, especially if I was there for hours. Maybe I am the odd one out that checks their phone when I am in areas that doesn't get service either if possible.
Depending on the child's age, I don't see a problem walking away for a few minutes to check a cellphone. I also would have texted my husband to let him know where I was in case he woke up. I would hope he would do the same for me. That's just respect for the other person and not make him go crazy looking for me in the middle of the night when it could have been solved with one text.
Maybe so. I didn't see any reason to wake my husband or worry him, and he probably wouldn't have checked to see if he had any texts, either. He's probably gotten a dozen texts in his entire life and sent maybe three or four. And I didn't really think we'd be in the E.R. as long as we ended up being there, either.
