Do you have to wear pantyhose?

What do you wear to work, or if SAH on a day to day basis? I work in a gym/spa so I have to look nice but can pull off a fair amount of sporty-ness. I never wear pantyhose. I hate-em and they'd look to overdressed at my workplace anyway. I just wax, use a self-tanner and wear nice sandals. My typical "uniform" is casual slacks and a blouse or sweater, but sometimes I wear skirts as well.

Yes, I wear hose if I'm wearing a skirt; not if I'm wearing pants. It's not so much because the corporate environment where I work demands it, but because shoes tend to chafe more without the hose. I've done the self-tanner thing and liked it, but my shoes weren't comfortable so I went back to hose.

I don't usually wear skirts, but I'm was just promoted to trainer for our site which is a more "professional" level, so I've been wearing skirts except on Fridays.

I wear mostly pants and tailored shirts or sweaters in the winter. Sometimes I wear a light jacket. Sometimes I wear skirts and tops and rarely a dress, but that's only rare because I can't fit into any of my dresses right now. I used to wear mostly tailored just-above-the-knee dresses with jackets or light sweaters but need to lose about 10 pounds to get into them.

On Fridays we have casual days; I generally wear jeans and a jacket (I have a deep purple suede one that I love).

Except on Fridays I always, always, always wear pantyhose because I hate wearing shoes with bare feet and I like the control top.

Choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color.  Choosing your socks by their character makes no sense and choosing your friends by their color is unthinkable.

In south Florida nobody wears hose with casual skirts. If I wear a casual skirt I wear sandals without hose. If I go into dh's office and wear a skirt that is a bit more dressy I wear hose. It has taken a bit of getting used to. In the northeast I always wore hose with any skirt no matter how casual.

When I worked in an office, I would wear nylons - only when absolutely neccessary. If I had a meeting with a client or something like that and was waring a suit skirt. I would wear pant suits or dresses that came almost to my ankles so I wouldn't have to wear nylons on other days. Luckily, the casual workplace attire hit my office early on, and after five years of working nylons were very infrequent.

Now, I only wear nylons at DH's Christmas party - it's the only time I wear heels, too. Church is casual enough that I don't have to wear them.

When I worked we HAD to wear nylons with a skirt (even though we never saw customers). I found that a policy like that makes women think it's okay to wear nylons with open-toed shoes.

I hate nylons, esp. the flesh-colored ones. I will not buy a dress or a skirt unless I can go without nylons or wear black hose.

Right now, I'm preg so no amount of cajoling could get me into a pair of nylons and a skirt (big, bad varicose veins). After this pregnancy, the veins are getting removed!! Can't wait!

Ever notice that all the stars in hollywood are nylon-less? Unless black or something wacky. I think that the skin-colored ones just never look right. And don't get me started on white tights!!

PS I also hate control-top. And it is nearly impossible to find nylons without.

I hate them and boycotted wearing them while I worked. Now I'll only wear them if I absolutely have to (which isn't often!) :)
