1. Do you celebrate Easter?

2. If so, what is on your menu (or the menu of where you are going)?

3. If so, how much do you usually spend on an Easter Baskets for the kids? (asking because I keep reading how Easter is turning into Christmas with kids asking for high priced items)

4. Are you working on Good Friday?

And what does this parent do? Keep the child locked up in his or her bedroom, never allow him or her access to any food other than that provided by the parent?

Wow, quite personal question.

Yes. In case you need reassurance, I have never once texted or played on the internet during a class hour, meeting with a student, or while doing anything I am paid to do.

No, the first day they eat a few things that they want and then it is put away and they will ask to have some and I will let them know how much they can have.
Do you believe children have self-discipline to only take a few peices of candy or food and at what age do you believe that starts?

I think we should all stay focused on the debate at hand :)

That was QUITE a post you made to me. Sounded like you were very angry. It also sounded like you were done with the debate with me, but I guess I was wrong.

I don't believe I have ever discussed publicly the reasons we don't have internet at home other than to say that we had it for awhile but it is more trouble than it is worth. It remains more trouble than it is worth, although I have now given my older son almost 24/7 internet access through his phone, too. He is almost an adult and old enough to handle both the freedom and the responsibility of internet access. The younger one (and my foster daughter, whose phone I still provide), not so much.

I am sure if you ask any Dr. they will tell you it is the parents job to portion and ration their food then.

Why do you continue posting to me then?

Sorry I upset you so much. I was just stating the facts.
