1.  Do your kids go to school on the last day of school?

2.  Do you throw (or let them throw) an end of year party for their friends?

3.  How many *graduation ceremonies* will/have your children experienced in their life time?

"They are a size 4 or so, but still look quite flabby." ---------- That is VERY common here. Around here it is usually because they constantly diet, but never really work out.

Petite sizes are generally cut smaller than women's. Because petites are smaller. But no, I'm not particularly impressed by the size of my clothing. Do you have any idea how hard it is to find my size consistently? I'm merely pointing out that while you tend to chalk up my size to genentics, there is more to it than that. Using my clothing size, which I find to be relatively consistent, is the easiest way to reference my general body size. Would you prefer me referencing a girl's size 14 as opposed to size 0-2 in ladies? I don't always wear a petite, either. Sometimes I don't need it.

Exactly.  There are some stores that carry both petites and regulars w/ short inseams.  There is a big difference between the two.  Despite being short and sometimes wearing petite pants, petite shirts almost never fit me-- my shoulders are too broad.

"Friends to the point that I 'hang out" with someone that age as much as other posters have said they do. "  Who here has indicated how much they hang out with someone that age?

I consider these things "hanging out": What is YOUR definition of hanging out then?

"What do you do with a "friend" who is 18 years old when you are over 40? Just asking." ------------ Talk about the things we have in common. For example, one of my young friends is interested in languages, and is now studying linguistics. I lend her books about that, among other things, and we discuss things related to language learning, linguistics etc.

I'm 5'2, and sometimes wear a petite and sometimes wear a regular woman's size. I have clothes that fit that are anywhere from a size 12 to a size 16, both petite and regular. The last fancy dress I bought the petite 12 fit best, but it was way too short for a woman my age, so I bought the regular and shortened the sleeves an inch and a half or so.

You did when you were snarking about petites being cut differently than womens.

On Wednesdays we wear pink.

Friendship, ime, isn't defined by how much time one spends together - hell, I spend a LOT of time with my coworkers, some of whom I don't consider friends (although we are friendly). Friendship is, imo, defined by a bond the two people share.  sometimes that bond is very deep. Sometimes it is based upon mutual interests. Sometimes it is based upon shared experiences. Sometimes it is based upon common beliefs. Sometimes you can't even pinpoint why you're friends you just know you are ...

Not all women who wear size 0 wear petites.

Who said that?

You don't need to quote the size of the clothes when you are incessantly posting pictures of itty bitty teeny weenie yellow polka dot bikinis.

Nah, they are not that small. I tried on a ton and I can tell you these were "big" compared to some Surprised lol. And it is funny that I wear the same size suit as my teen who is very active in sports. Laughing
