Do you (or did you when the kids were at home) have a family night where everyone shuts off their individual computers/games/cellphones and gets together as a family?

Hope you've had a good weekend and I look forward to your feedback!

we limit television viewing too, i allow disney but htey also like national geographic, animal planet...when i took DS to the orthodontist, the station on the TV there was noggin, i was telling hte receptionist that i missed that station and that our standard cable package didn't offer that channel anymore. i think shock came across her face like, don't all people have extended cable packages nowadays..LOL.

our kids don't have PCs yet, no plans to get them their own right now.

to the OP, family nights can be any evening although fridays stick out, these are pizza nights or going out for dinner nights, renting a video and so forth. sometimes this clashes with dates, friends or gatherings like school dances for our two middle schoolers but not always. DS loves to wrestle with DH, we watch TV, we play board games, we tell jokes and laugh alot together, we like to just hang out and talk. we have never ordered all electronic devices off for fun, quality family nights, shrug.

When Joel was very tiny, my brother taught him to say, "Help! Help! I'm being repressed!"

And for years, my sister's license plate was EX LEPER.

No, we're not Python fans at all.

I hope to do something like this when the kids get a little bit older. DD is just starting to be able to play games, but DS is too little. We occasionally try to watch movies. Again, DD is starting to be old enough to watch things that aren't completely unappealing to adults. We've watched Wizard of Oz together, for example.
