Fashion "Rules"

Talking about wedding guest attire has made me realize a lot of the fashion guidelines I was raised with are pretty much outdated these days.  Things like guys not wearing  ball caps indoors, women wearing white only between Memorial Day and Labor Day, no LBDs before 5 pm, and hose with every outfit are gone.  Do you adhere to any of these guidelines anymore?  Are there any fashion guidelines you DO adhere to?

I didn't say it was unique to RCC, I said the cahtolic church is one of the most dressed down churches, And it is.  I have a lot of experience with other churches actually, DH's family is methodist and presbyterian both, I've been inside those dors and Iv'e been to quite a few inter-faith services to know dress code in them is more upscale than the way catholics, in general present themselves on an average Sunday.  Even Joel Osteen's followers dress up more than the RCC.

Some experience with my church isn't enough ducky, You've been wrong in other claims about my church too.

Actually you said, and I quote, "The catholic church is one of the most dress down churches there is..."

Do you have proof?  A link?  Anything to back up your claim?

"DH's family is methodist and presbyterian both, I've been inside those dors..." You do know that there are many, many more denomitions than RCC, Preslyterian and Methodist, right?

I can attest to the RCC and the type of clothes that is being worn now compared to 20 + years ago. It has gotten a lot more lax as well as other places also that you would have found people dressing up to go to.

"I can attest to the RCC and the type of clothes that is being worn now compared to 20 + years ago. It has gotten a lot more lax as well as other places also that you would have found people dressing up to go to." Well, as usual, you might have a point, if anyone had said otherwise.

Is there a reason you have to be mean and can't just skip a post? Sounds like you find it ok to be mean as long as you pray and recite psalms everyday. Undecided

Mean?

"Sounds like you find it ok to be mean as long as you pray and recite psalms everyday."

How did you come to that conclusion?

What kind of link are you looking for?  Experiences of many different RCCs, experiences and observations from others - even those on this board support my claim.
