I love that you're the morality police now. In reality, you're making idle threats that you can't follow thru on b/c you have no freaking clue where I live. Your claim to the high road is far more CYA than the actual high road. And I'm pretty sure PKA is still waiting on that apology for jumping all over her for MY statement. That attack was super zen and the mark of a woman in love w/her life!

Nope you can't buy class. Ask the many people who put things up on message boards about strangers to make themselves feel better when they have no clue either.

You can't buy common sense

Again, I wouldn't do that because I see no point in it. I am sure you found it already and have seen how low it is. That is ok. I would be embarassed too.

How'd it work for you getting a check from your cousin?

Wouldn't know. My cousin never owed me any money.

You'd be embarrassed to live in a town w/crime statistics of: 0 murders or rapes, 1 robbery, 3 assaults, 2 burglaries, 47 thefts, 0 arsons, and 0 vehicular thefts. Uh, okay. Doesn't Swiper's rap sheet rival my entire town of 3100+'s crimes for the year?! I'd be far more embarrassed by a klepto husband, but hey--whatever floats your boat!

Why is it "not right" to publish public information on a message board? And why would it be embarrassing to live in a high crime area, unless of course, you were part of the problem? I used to live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and I a sure the crime date there was astronomical. I LOVED living there, in spite of the crime rate. Very sad when we had to leave.

I checked out my city's information on citydata and it says:

Quote:
The city violent crime rate for (Marla's City) in 2010 was higher than the national violent crime rate average by 141.38% and the city property crime rate in (Marla's City) was higher than the national property crime rate average by 64.66%.

I've lived in my city for six years and my car was broken into once. The thieves got away with about .82 in change and half of NIN's Fragile CD. Despite that theft, I leave my GPS in the car and feel comfortable leaving other valuable things in there too, because there are two lockable compartments in my van. To read this thread, you'd think that this was an exotic automobile feature, yet I drive a Chrysler, which is like the opposite of exotic.

When we go to downtown Detroit to attend concerts, I leave my purse in the lockbox. Downtown Detroit. Despite the vast amount of lawlessness and super high crime rate of the D, no one has ever smashed through my windows to get into that lockbox. I'm pretty sure they'd have to steal the entire passenger seat as the lockable bit is built-in. And if any city in this here nation would ever be a place where someone could go unnoticed running through the downtown city streets with a stolen bucket seat out of a Chrysler, Detroit is it. And even if my make and model were targeted due to the fact that I have such a lockbox, it would be quite a gamble. Right now, I think all that's in there is a half a bottle of (probably) expired Tums and a few paint stir sticks from my last trip to the hardware store.
