What is your weather like?

What do you do with leftover Halloween candy?

What did the pencil say to the other pencil?

What is your weather like?

Chilly (32 this morning), sunny and windy.  We had a few snowflakes yesterday.

What do you do with leftover Halloween candy?

Try not to have it.  This year we didn't get or hand out any, but Joel did have to have his candy corn fix around mid-October.

What did the pencil say to the other pencil?

Does this eraser make my butt look big?

What is your weather like?  Cold.  I think the actual temperature is 41, which isn't bad, but it is very windy so the wind chill factor makes it feel like the 30s.  Only two days of this cold weather...temps start creeping up tomorrow and this weekend it's supposed to be in the mid-60s.  Had our first wood burning fire last night in the fireplace!  Feel bad for my boys who have soccer practice tonight outside and the wind chills are supposed to drop down to the high 20s.

What do you do with leftover Halloween candy?  I let my kids indulge through the weekend and then had them each pick out 20 pieces of candy to save for themselves then we gave away the rest.  My kids got about 20lbs of candy between the four of them!  Their school collects the candy, along with other donations, to make care packages for our troops.  The only thing they can't accept is chocolate that can melt, so we sorted the candy and gave all the chocolate to the midshipman (student at the Naval Academy) that we sponsor and sent the rest into school.  There is a dentist here if gives $1/lb of candy that kids turn in but we've never done that since the school organizes the care packages.
