This morning I am going shopping, my vacuum died this week and I have to buy a new one and am also doing some Christmas shopping. I'll be done with everyone except for DD3 and IL's. Having a lot of trouble coming up with ideas for her.

This afternoon am going to see Elf with DH, DD2 and DD3.

This evening have my church small group.

Sundays are my usually my down days where I pretty much do nothing aside from church but I really need to get some work done in my bedroom. Both cleaning and organizing.

SO is out of town this weekend (he's a Naval reservist) so Joel and I are on our own. This morning we're heading out to watch a marathon. Our company has a team running and we're going down to cheer them on. Originally I was supposed to have 2 of SO's kids, too, but one got sick and the other didn't want to go without her brother.

Nothing really planned for the rest of the weekend. I'll be working around the house and starting to organize things to move. Sounds exciting, huh?

This morning my mom is taking me shopping to buy some clothes for my Christmas present. Normally I like to be surprised, but I am in desperate need of clothes and since dh still hasn't found work I just can't justify buying anything for myself right now.

Tomorrow is dd's end-of-season softball team celebration at a local restaraunt. It's a very kid-friendly place so we'll probably bring ds along as well. I think dd will get a kick out of it - it was her first time to play some sort of organized sport so the whole trophy thing is new to her.

I'm thinking of painting the bathroom at some point this weekend. I've been putting it off for over a year now, so it's time to bite the bullet.

Unfortunately, the rest of my weekend will probably be spent cleaning - my inlaws will be here for Thanksgiving and I don't want them to see how we *really* live, lol.

Going shopping and out to lunch with the "girls" from work. Making a whole day of it. (Stbxh is here with the kids). Then I"m "staying over" with one of those friends since stbxh is at my house.

Went to dd's school dance last night. And then to dinner and

not much planned this weekend. laying very low. i did get up and take ds2 with me to have our hair cut(and mine "brightened" up a little...tee-hee). i go to a girl who has her shop at her home, and its about twenty miles away, but she charges me $27 for a cut, color and blow dry. its not only worth the money, but i get "alone" time with my teenage son, which i think is very important. came home ate lunch, fell asleep on the couch. havent done much of anything. tomorrow i will do laundry and housework and wrap christmas gifts.

I'm SICK!! That darn post about what do moms do when they are sick jinxed me!! *Oh I never get sick....* ARGH.

Ds had a sinus infection and I think I might be getting something similar. I hope it goes away on its own with no antibiotics, I've been taking echinacea and ginger tea and trying to rest. Just the usual sore/scratchy throat, runny nose, very tired. Yuck.

Oh and I have to WORK too. I cant call in sick because one of my bosses is out of town and if I am not there everyone will have a total cow and think the world has ended. Its nice to be needed I guess, but man I wish I could just curl up and go to bed early tonight!

Monday I am flying to Seattle with one of my girlfriends (if this darn thing hasnt moved to my sinus'!) and we are going to spend the night and then go shopping all day Tuesday (IKEA, my favorite store!!). Hopefully I'll get the bulk of my holiday shopping done.

This weekend is opening day for deer hunting, so it's just me and the kids during the day. I'm just lounging around the house, playing online poker tournaments while the kids are playing inside on this rainy day! Oh, and we made cookies too!

I jinxed myself too, DJ. I am sick with a terrible cough, runny nose and a lovely case of laryngitis. Naturally, this is one of two weekends of the entire year where dh is out of town.

Apparently, when I am sick, the kids eat a lot of cereal, watch too much tv, and the house looks like a wreck. Bleh.

Have fun at Ikea. I really like it there - plus now I live only 15 minutes from one of the biggest ones in Canada, so I can go whenever I want!

Friday night went to my friend's house for a "Southern Living at Home" party. We had a great time. Today I was awakened by the roofer. We're having a new roof installed. Our house is about 90 years old. It still has the ORIGINAL roof on it along with at least 3 additional ones on top of that. We're having a complete tear off and re-roof done. Plus I have to go out with the Cub Scouts to deliver grocery bags for "Scouting for Food." Tomorrow, I'm sleeping in!!! Then DH and I are going shopping for a new range/oven. Mine is a POS (figure it out! ;-) ) and I told DH I wanted a new one before Thanksgiving. I'm thinking of taking the boys to see "Elf," as well.
