this year? Is there any chance you are going to get it? (Or for those here who celebrate Hanukah, did you already get it?)

I really want an IPod this year but I don't think I'll get it because I gave my dh one on his birthday six months ago and he has yet to use it. (Not likely he would give me my own if his is sitting around idle.) I strongly hinted I wanted some Ugg slippers but I don't think my dh even knows what that means. I also mentioned that I would appreciate some Aveda Hand Relief but I just know when my dh sees the price tag on that one, he will revert to his former frugal self and balk.

Oh well.

Actually, the perfect gift for me is the one that Mary Jane (mjdphd) picked out for me.

Okmrsmommy-36, CPmom to DD-16 and DS-14

Well, since dh and I just bought a new computer that was needed (our old one crashed multiple times a day) and a new car that was not needed at all, the most ambitious thing on my Christmas list is a gift certificate to a book store. With ds napping 2-2 1/2 hours now, I burn through books so fast I feel bad spending money on them, but when one of my favorite authors has something new out, I hate waiting for it to be available in the library. And a bottle of Columbia Winery Cellarmaster's Riesling. My favorite wine ever, but everyone here is out of it.

My perfect gift would be to spend Christmas with my kiddos. Alas, it is not to be.

But I did get a pretty darn good gift from the new guy last night .... *grin*

Choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color.  Choosing your socks by their character makes no sense and choosing your friends by their color is unthinkable.

I can't tell you without outing myself as the biggest, tackiest geek that ever lived. So naturally, I'm going to tell you. And no, I have NO chance of getting either one, because I'm too embarrassed to tell my family I want these.

Either one would be the perfect gift.

1. the boxed set of Battlestar Galactica DVDs (1st season and the full length movie)

2. The entire collection of Horatio Hornblower DVDs from A&E Channel.

yes, yes. I know, I know...I'm a geeky nerd.

No chance I'll get it this year. . .though I'm getting some good secondary gifts in the form of good news. ..

Hopefully Santa will be delivering my present in late February. . .and as long as he's safe and sound that's all I care about.
