1. What's on your agenda this weekend?

Tonight I have a mom/kids party. Tons of fun, 30 + kids running around while the moms eat, drink and converse. Supposed to get snow but not sure how much so in between I will be running kids around, food shopping and getting stuff to make cookies for my cookie swap on Monday at work. Of I forgot about getting stocking stuffers since my bonus check was in my checking account this morning. Laughing

2. Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?

We open up gifts with the nephews on Christmas Eve as it gets too hectic on Christmas Day with them. My own kids open with us on Christmas morning.

3. Do you have plans for New Years Eve yet?

We are having a party, like we normally do. Not sure how many people I am getting though so it could be (right now's amount) 10 people or 40 Surprised

Is someone having identity problem?  This is getting ridiculous ....

1. What's on your agenda this weekend? -- a funeral visitation this evening :(, Hobbit Part 1 at home on Sat so we can see Part 2 on Sun. The Girl has Winter Semi-Formal.  We were supposed to go to a Christmas party Sat night, but the host's mother died (see the first sentence of this answer).  We also have to remove part of our garden beds and fencing to make way for our storm shelter installation.  We'll do some Christmas shopping. I'll have to do some work. Then just regular weekend stuff.

2. Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? -- Depends on who we are with and when we are with them.

3. Do you have plans for New Years Eve yet? -- nope.

1. The biggest thing I have on the agenda is grading 71 final exams and eleven graduate essays and turning in my semester grades Monday. Other than that, the usual, plus some seasonal stuff. 2. Usually neither. Our family doesn't exchange presents among the adults, although I still buy a few things for my adult son. If there happens to be something for me under the tree, Christmas morning. 3. We don't do anything special on NYE. It's just another night.

I need a roster!

1.  Attending a two day sporting event of one of my children's, attending a couple of Christmas Parties, Christmas Card finishing and a run to the dreaded WalMart.  Some Christmas decorating.  I also plan on the usual every weekend stuff.

2.  Christmas Day.

3.  Yes, attending a party.

1. What's on your agenda this weekend? My girl's weekend was canceled due to an impending ice storm, so it looks like a relatively quiet weekend at home w/the family. I think I'll head to the grocery in a bit and stock up on cookie baking supplies... 2. Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? Both. The kids get presents from us on Christmas Eve and presents from Santa on Christmas Day. 3. Do you have plans for New Years Eve yet? Nope. I find NYE to be the most overrated holiday of the year. I'd rather stay home and play games w/the kids than be out on the roads with all drunks.

I know, right? Maybe you should tell that to the CM. Weird how only ONE person has to do this. BAER.

I agree. That is why we do something at home with our friends and their children are invited.

Do your friends all spend the night? Because otherwise they're out on the roads w/the drunks. Last year we attended a party up the street. We walked there. Itty bitty was tired by 10:30pm, so I walked her home and we fell asleep by 11pm. The fireworks at midnight woke me up. I am just not a big NYE person...although I may do a last minute brunch this year on NYD, mainly b/c we aren't doing much holiday entertaining this year and who doesn't love brunch?

"although I may do a last minute brunch this year on NYD, mainly b/c we aren't doing much holiday entertaining this year and who doesn't love brunch?" ------- I used to work in a place where NYD brunch was huge. Staff had to be there by 7AM, and one of my waiters was notorious for arriving straight from dancing all night, tipsy and all. He wasn't a great waiter even when sober, so it didn't really matter in his case. He made up for it with charm at least.

The ones that do come over live right around the corner so no real driving required. Anyone that does come though are offered to sleep over if they want.
