Whole milk: 2%, 1%, skim, or? Whole for William, 2% for me and Samantha

Rice: white or brown, or...? white if DH is cooking, brown if I am

Bread: white, wheat, or...? Wheat or other whole grain if I choose, white if DH chooses

Pasta: white flour, egg, or whole grain, or? About half white, half whole grain.

Breakfast cereal: fruit loops or grapenuts, or? Cheerios is pretty much the only cereal we buy on a regular basis. I eat oatmeal most mornings though.

Meat: beef, chicken, pork, lamb or? We eat very little meat compared to most people. We eat mostly chicken, beef, and recently, venison.

Fish: tuna, sword, salmon, cod, or...? Tuna. We aren't big seafood eaters.

Fruit? blueberries, apples, grapes, peaches, strawberries, pineapple, blackberries, bananas.

Vegetable? Spinach, lettuce, kale, greens, carrots, beets, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, green beans, corn, squash, potatoes, sweet potatoes. We eat more and a bigger variety of veggies in summer, especially since we've belonged to a CSA for the past few years. This year we have a full share, so we'll have veggies coming out of our ears.

Whole milk: 2%, 1%, skim, or? **I don't like milk and rarely drink it. I buy 1% for my kids.

Rice: white or brown, or...? **We almost never have rice, but on the rare occasion that I get brown rice.

Bread: white, wheat, or...? **Whole wheat for sandwiches, infrequently, I get sourdough or other "specialty" loaves if we are having soup or panini for dinner

Pasta: white flour, egg, or whole grain, or? **Depends on the type of pasta. I don't like dense pastas like ziti, farfalle, etc made from whole grain - too gummy/chewy. When I make that type, I usually buy both and make 1/2 regular and 1/2 whole wheat so that it's not as noticeable. For thin pasta like spaghetti, linguine, etc, I buy whole wheat.

Breakfast cereal: fruit loops or grapenuts, or? **I not a big fan of cereal but occasionally I'll buy Wheaties or flax cereal. For my kids, I buy Gorilla Munch, Trader Joe's version of plain Cheerios, flax (sort of like Wheaties). The only time they get sugar cereal is when Santa brings them each a favorite kind on Christmas.

Meat: beef, chicken, pork, lamb or? **I don't have a favorite. I like them all in limited quantities. IOW, I try to vary our meals each week such that we typically will have red meat one night, chicken 1-2 nights, pork one night, fish 1-2 nights, vegetarian-type meal one night. Honestly, I could probably do without meat if I could make delicious vegetable dishes every night. But, I don't like beans much and I'd probably start craving meat for the protein. I've always favored chicken the most, but recently, it has started to kind of gross me out for some reason.

Fish: tuna, sword, salmon, cod, or...? **Mmmmm, love seafood. Tuna, pacific salmon and all the Hawaiian fish like mahi-mahi and ono! I also love shellfish, esp crab - after all, I grew up eating Maryland crabs, which are far better than dungeness crabs!

Fruit? **I like all fruit, but if I had to choose one, strawberries.

Vegetable? **Broccoli, asparagus, zucchini/squash, eggplant, edamame, spinach, sugar snap peas - I like most except peas, brussel sprouts and lima beans. Peas I'll eat as an ingredient in something, but don't like them alone.

Guilty pleasure? Chips, especially with dips or salsa and guacamole. Cheese too. I love cheese.

Whole milk: 2%, 1%, skim, or?
Skim, I was the last to come around.

Rice: white or brown, or...?
Transition complete, brown rice all the way.

Bread: white, wheat, or...?
Lately, mostly whole grain wraps, but I have a occasional fondness for Wonder White.

Pasta: white flour, egg, or whole grain, or?
Mostly white flour or egg for us, I keep trying to substitute whole grain with little success. We like pasta.

Breakfast cereal: fruit loops or grapenuts, or?
I am not a cereal nazi. We like Wheaties, Cheerios, and Honey Bunches of Oats for breakfast, with fruit loops and cocoa crispies for snacks,

Meat: beef, chicken, pork, lamb or?
All of the above though we probably have too much beef.

Fish: tuna, sword, salmon, cod, or...?
We have tuna or sword and salmon served together once a week, other fish or shellfish rarely.

Fruit?
We always have apples, oranges, bananas around, berries in season, and other fruit as the mood strikes (pineapple this week)

Vegetable?
Lettuce is always around to make salads or add to sandwiches. We all like broccoli, asparagus, snap peas, potatoes, sweet potatoes with dinner. I love all kinds of squash, the kids hate just about all of it.

Guilty pleasure?
Ice cream

Whole milk: 2%, 1%, skim, or?--skim, always

Rice: white or brown, or...? --brown

Bread: white, wheat, or...?--100% Whole Wheat, added fiber, and I try to keep it to less than 3 servings per week.

Pasta: white flour, egg, or whole grain, or?--Whole wheat and I try to limit it to less than 2 servings per week.

Breakfast cereal: fruit loops or grapenuts, or?--Oatmeal. Steel cut when I can find them, otherwise, old fashioned, slow cook, rolled.

Meat: beef, chicken, pork, lamb or?--Heh, I think everyone knows I eet moar chiken ;) I do love beef tho.

Fish: tuna, sword, salmon, cod, or...?--Salmon or cod. I like both.

Fruit?--year round I like fuji or Gala apples (this year, fuji has been better). Bananas. Right now, I also eat 1/2 a naval orange a day--they're in season. In the summer, I like locally grown strawberries, blueberries and cherries. I buy the blueberries and cherries in bulk and freeze them, but this year I'm investing in a cherry pitter so I can pit them before freezing.

Vegetable?--My year round staples are onions, carrots spinach and broccoli. But I like pretty much everything.

Guilty pleasure?--Brownies. They are not permitted in my home, tho because I have no control over them. I allow myself 3 per week--usually from Au Bon Pain--theirs aren't necessarily better than anyone else's, but I pass one every night on the way to work and I usually get a banana there, too.

Whole milk: 2%, 1%, skim, or? We do not drink milk and only use it on cereal and in coffee, so whole milk.

Rice: white or brown, or...? It varies, but usually some kind of brown rice. The health food store has many varieties now, not just the old crunchy-granola type, and they all have excellent taste and texture.

Bread: white, wheat, or...? Usually a whole grain of some sort. We have a nice bakery nearby where they grind the whole wheat themselves.

Pasta: white flour, egg, or whole grain, or? It varies, often some kind of egg noodles.

Breakfast cereal: fruit loops or grapenuts, or? Neither, we get unsweetened quinoa, buckwheat and amaranth flakes from the health food store, as well as a muesli with dried berries and puffed buckwheat. People mix those as they like.

Meat: beef, chicken, pork, lamb or? I try to keep meat meals to 2-3X a week. Usually one of those time will be ground beef, one time will be chicken and one time will be lamb or pork.

Fish: tuna, sword, salmon, cod, or...?

Whatever looks good in the fish market. Often we have salmon, but we also eat mackerel, small cod fish, shrimp and calamari.

Fruit?

I am not a big fruit eater, but dd can polish off a pound or two a day and dh eats a lot too. It is our usual dessert.

Vegetable?

We eat vegetables at every meal, sometimes as a main course and as snacks as well. I usually keep bell peppers, cukes and fennel in the fridge for people to snack on.

Guilty pleasure?

Nutella. Once a year or so, I buy a jar. Oh, and I sometimes have digestive biscuits with my afternoon tea.
