Weekend plans?

Where have you traveled? What places do you want to go but haven't yet?

What's the unhealthies food item in your house right now? The healthiest?

What's for lunch? Dinner?

Weekend plans? -- the usual. Plus The Boy is attending a brass recital tomorrow.  I'm bringing a pile of work home. My BFF was supposed to be in town and we were going to meet up; alas, supposed to have freezing rain overnight and she's not risking the drive.  That's about it.

Where have you traveled? What places do you want to go but haven't yet? -- I"ve traveled to about half the states, plus DC. I've been "through" probably another 7-8 states, but didn't spend any time there.  I've been to Mexico, both as a child and an adult. I've been to Canada (Victoria and Vancouver).  We had a day in the Bahamas on our Cruise.  I'd really like to go to the UK -- my scottish and irish background beckons me.  And Italy. And I really really really want to go back to Key West.

What's the unhealthies food item in your house right now? The healthiest? -- Unhealthiest right now would probably be the frozen sausage biscuits in the deep freeze. The healthiest is probably the quinoa or the fresh veggies

What's for lunch? Dinner? -- Lunch will be leftover baked sweet potato and maybe a bit of roast beef.  Dinner will be pasta salad (rotini, black olives, herbed mozzarella, spinach, basil, turkey pepperoni, tomatoes, balsamic and evoo) and fruit smoothies (banana mango). Breakfast, not that I asked, was a turkey pepperoni, egg and swiss sandwich.

Weekend plans? Not really.

Where have you traveled? What places do you want to go but haven't yet?I would really like to visit the US South and the Middle East. I am just bummed that they keep fighting in the Middle East, making travel there a pretty bad idea. But maybe I will make it to Israel at least this year.

What's the unhealthies food item in your house right now? The healthiest? Hmm, I don't really know. I don't think we have anything super-bad hanging around right now.

What's for lunch? Dinner? We had lentil soup (homemade from scratch, superior, pretentious being that I am). I got a foccacia topped with tomato, feta and olives to go with the soup. Not sure about dinner.

Weekend plans?

Nothing too exciting. Homework for me, thesis writing for dh. I'd like to rent Inequality for All. We'll probably take the kids to an open swim on Saturday.

Travel?

Within the US, all over the SE, SoCal, Atlantic City, and Vegas. Outside: Germany, Austria. I spent ten minutes in the Shannon International Airport once. Most of my international traveling was over the Ambassador Bridge into Windsor on the weekends in my late teens, however.

Unhealthiest food? Ramen noodles (my stepson thinks they are food) and Velveeta (leftover from a holiday nacho thing that dd wanted to make.)

Healthiest? Not sure which is healthier--kale, or baby spinach?

Lunch/Dinner

We're expecting a plumber early this evening and can't use the drain. Lunch was cereal, and dinner will be something quick and easy--maybe pizza, depending on how long the drain augering and cleanup afterward takes.

1.  Yes.  Outside of the usual everyday stuff we have a couple of sport events to attend, family in town, family dinner, various kids sleeping over both nights and a movie with my son.   OH and cleaning out the cabniet where I store my pans to make room for my new ones!  Yes, I am kitchen geek.  :)

2.  I have been to about 50-75% of the different states, Mexico, Canada, couple of islands in the Caribbean, and multiple countries in Europe, some twice.  I want to visit more of Europe, Asia, Australia/New Zealand and I would like to take a trip to Antarctica.  Really, anywhere, I love to travel.

3.  Hmm, chips that dh likes to buy and Christmas gifts of chocolate, I think. We have a wide variety of fresh fruits, veggies and grains, I don't know which is the healhtiest.

4.  I have a small spinach salad and leftover pork tenderloin.  Dinner is out, not sure where yet, depends on where the relatives want to go.

1a. Extensively in Western Europe (although not like some :D ).  England, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourgh, Belgium, The Netherlands.  I've been to the Azores--it was a layover, but it was a 6 hour layover :)  Um...lessee, Barbados, Dominica, St. Kitts, Cozumel, USVI, Puerto Rico (LUUUUURRRRVED!!!), Belize, Grand Cayman, Roatan, Canada.  Oh and "Spain"--I went to the Embassy in DC to get a visa for my boss once. :)

1b. I'd love to go to the Czech Republic, to Italy, to Greece.  I'd love to see the pyramids, but I'd kind of like the political situation in Egypt to simmer down some.  I'd like to go to South Africa.  I would love to visit Thailand and Cambodia and Japan.  And China; I'd love to see the Wall and the Terracotta Soldiers.  I'd like to go to Iceland.  And Norway and Sweden. (but in the summer :D )  I'd really love to visit Argentina and Colombia.  And I'd love to cruise the entire Panama canal (which is a relocation cruise generally--I'd prefer the San Diego to Florida route).

2.  Right now?  The sausage dip that I made in a double batch before realizing the furnace was going to give me a bunch of shit today.  The dip is for a "tailgating" party at work tonight and it's looking like I won't be going now (if I'm up all day waiting on the furnace guys).  argh.  I knew I should have waited until tonight to make it.  If I don't go in, I'll give the DIL a call.  She and ex's wife are hosting a Pampered Chef party so I'll tell them they can have the dip :)

Healthiest?  Beats the jeeps outa me.  Maybe the brussel sprouts?  The chicken breasts?  Heck I dunno.  I guess ounce for ounce, size compared to nutrition, it might be the carrots.

3.  Lunch?  If I go to work, it'll be fried chicken and fries.  Oh, and that will be dinner also.  If I don't?  Maybe sausage dip :D

Weekend plans?

Resting tonight as I am exhausted from walking so much in the cold yesterday. Dd has a volunteer thing at the library in the morning, then she has a sweet sixteen party that night. While she is there, dh, ds and myself will be going to a friends house for a bday celebration. Food shopping and people over for Superbowl.

Where have you traveled? What places do you want to go but haven't yet?

Obviously NOT out if North America bawahhhaa....NY (all over including upstate), NJ, PA, VA, DC, MD, NC, SC, GA, FL, AZ, CA, HI, Canada, Bermuda, Bahamas, Barbados, St. Maarten, Anguilla, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico.

What's the unhealthies food item in your house right now? The healthiest?

Probably potato chips but they have been there for awhile. Will have lots of unhealthy things for superbowl lol. Fresh fruits and veggies.

What's for lunch? Dinner?

Turkey sandwich on multi grain bread, green tea. Steak tid bits with a side and veggie.

Weekend plans: Yes, I have some. The places that I've travelled include 47 of the United States, six Canadian provinces, several border towns in Mexico, about ten countries in western Europe, and Japan. The places that I want to go but haven't yet include just about everywhere else, but I don't want to go to resorts anywhere. The unhealthiest food item in the house right now is probably packages of processed ham and turkey for sandwiches. The healthiest is probably a bag of baby kale for soup and salads. Lunch, I don't know. I'll pick up something after a 1 pm meeting. Probably a Greek salad with no dressing. But lots of cheese and olives. I think my husband and I are going out for dinner. But if it snows, which it might, we're just going home and eating soup and sandwiches.
