I got off work early so am tackling some chores.

What are your least favorite chore?

Which ones do you not mind so much?

Yeah, but then they leave and you get all those chores back.

Darn it! I guess I have to enjoy it while it lasts. . . .

"saturday is one day we all pitch in, the kids and their rooms, DH ( if he's "off" ), the floors and the day i pull out *gasp* pledge and other trigger sprays to clean."

If those are the only chores being done on Saturday then it sounds like Saturday is not the only chore day.

I think most of us read your Saturday is chore day to mean that all or the majority of chores are done on Saturday not a few. If that were the case then it would take up a lot of the day.

I thought the stereotype was that SAHMs watched soap operas and ate bonbons all day, not that they cleaned the house.

No matter what my work status I have always found cleaning floors to be much easier to do when no one was underfoot. As a SAHM that meant when kids were taking naps/in school, as a WOHM that means in the morning before anyone else is up.

Just to be contrary here, cleaning with the kids IS doing something with the kids. I think it is good for kids to participate and see how the house is run.
