So I heard a lot of chanting at school yesterday about tomorrow (today) being pay day, Woot!  Ha, That doesn't mean a lot to me but some of those teachers make good money and b/w that and the slip ins about money in a couple threads here I thought a thread would be fun..

How often are you/your DH paid

Do you discuss finances with your children?  To what extent?

Are you a spender or a saver

< Yes, she had that 50's idea but it worked>

Worked for whom? Because entitled snots (who may someday become school superintendents) are a good thing?

In didn't ask you how you clean, or how often.... I asked if you need a detailed list on what it means to clean hose areas. Thanks though.

"That's why he goes to work? So his *job* is to work, and yours is to make sure that the home is cared for, and he "helps" you as needed? Am I reading that right?"........ He goes to work the same reason I go to work, to support our family. His job, as my job is #1 to be a mom, dad, wife, husband AND to work outside of the home to bring in money to take care of the home, together. If he is home before me or on the weekend he will ask what needs to be done and what he can help with as again, our house is small so you can see what needs to be done but sometimes I have other ideas that I want to do. We have a calendar so he can see where everyone needs to be and then we make a schedule. He usually runs the kids to things and he takes our youngest to the bus stop in the morning and is there for him to get off the bus 99.9% of the time (unless he has a longer job to do that day).

Well, he'd be happier if this next baby is a boy.  But he is proud that I'm very careful with the household budget Gene left me with.  It's much easier on Mother to send over the older kids for school and lets her concentrate on homeschooling my younger siblings, so Daddy hasn't insisted that I move home since Gene passed away in January.

So your family helps so the home will run smoothly, correctly? Not one person is doing everything, right? They all help out.
