So I heard a lot of chanting at school yesterday about tomorrow (today) being pay day, Woot!  Ha, That doesn't mean a lot to me but some of those teachers make good money and b/w that and the slip ins about money in a couple threads here I thought a thread would be fun..

How often are you/your DH paid

Do you discuss finances with your children?  To what extent?

Are you a spender or a saver

What does that even mean? If you're comparing me to Ann Romney--I'm flattered. I love her.

On Wednesdays we wear pink.

""which the kids are supposed to take care of, but I have failed to follow through, and usually end up doing it myself."............. ????.................... So your kids don't follow through cleaning the chandeliers. Do they not follow through with other chores?

I saw the b/r chandelier look in a pottery barn kids catalog once, But I think my brother and SIL took it a step or two farther...

"I might use the word "help" when I've already taken on a particular task and need an extra set of hands in the middle of it or something, but dh isn't *helping* me by doing the dishes after dinner, nor am I *helping* him by sweeping out the garage on a saturday."------------- Exactly.

""sometimes I have other ideas that I want to do." ---------- So you make the household decisions, then tell him what needs to be done?"...... No, but I do, do things in the home that he would never do, like decorate for Easter so he might ask me what I would need (bring up the boxes for me from the basement). We always talk in the mornings of what is going on for the day, not just what I want or have planned. We plan out the day for what we all want and need to do. We figure out what needs to be done and who is doing what.

Sav, I should just follow you around with a thumbs up, lol. -----------"When I "clean the patio" it's the concrete itself, as well as the grill, the plants, the furniture etc. Not just the physical patio."------------ I have a wooden deck, but it's the same concept.

"Do you clean closets often?" Dusting and vacumming? Yes. Light fixtures? Not as often. That's about all the cleaning that my closets require.
