So I heard a lot of chanting at school yesterday about tomorrow (today) being pay day, Woot! Ha, That doesn't mean a lot to me but some of those teachers make good money and b/w that and the slip ins about money in a couple threads here I thought a thread would be fun..

How often are you/your DH paid

Do you discuss finances with your children? To what extent?

Are you a spender or a saver

With a house that large Peachy, I would think others would need to help unless you were a SAHM and had lots of time on your hands. My house is small so straightening up everyday makes cleaning not as bad.

Oh, and the dreaded stairs...which the kids are supposed to take care of, but I have failed to follow through, and usually end up doing it myself.

The stairs? I only have ones to my basement so not familiar. You mean they leave stuff on them?

Not much has changed.... the family has always done thier part. I'm not the one complaining about the cleaning.

"I painted them both a cream color," -------- No, I haven't seen the new paint job, but I bet it looks nice.

I am just asking because in our home, everyone is responsible for their own space. The kids clean their own rooms and bathrooms. They are also mostly responsible for the family room, and help with both diningrooms. Hubby cleans the office, and his areas in the garage (I get about 600sf of garage space to do with what I want, hubby has the rest. I generally take care of my bedroom and the master bath, the kitchen, laundry room & living room.

The downside to an empty nest. Having to clean two bathrooms and doing dishes.

No, why would anyone leave stuff on the stairs?

If I had 5 kids and an almost 4,000 sq ft house, I too would have to have others help me.
