So I heard a lot of chanting at school yesterday about tomorrow (today) being pay day, Woot!  Ha, That doesn't mean a lot to me but some of those teachers make good money and b/w that and the slip ins about money in a couple threads here I thought a thread would be fun..

How often are you/your DH paid

Do you discuss finances with your children?  To what extent?

Are you a spender or a saver

That is good Geschictsgal. It makes you feel good to know that your parents are doing ok, financially. I know I am doing what I need to do now and gladly watching it moving up and up :)

Reginageorge -

Because people like you who don't get it make it easier for those of us who do. That's why. And you proved you don't get it when you said you deduct your mortgage from your taxes. B/c if you're deducting your mortgage from your taxes, the IRS is going to want to have a word with you. And your CPAs...

It's like the proverbial candy from a baby, G-money. - No one ever got rich being a financial advisor or planner.  They help people in debt with no money to pay.  Another words CPAs have a skill for people with money.

R-With your company match, that's almost 25% of your current income. You are the type of clients he likes.--And never gets LOL. Financial planners only help people in debt and clean up their messes. There's no money there. People with money invest on their own because they can or they degreed professionals who invest.  Financial planners don't invest. They're a last resort before bankruptcy

Ges said: .  Dh and I both put in 6% with a 6% match from our employer.

Regina, it's 12% of their current income, not 25%. Which is excellent! (But math is math)-I heard it was 3000% LOL.  Love the internet.  Every thing is rosy.
