I love buying in bulk but it is time consuming. I don't have enough room upstairs for everything so I am lucky to have another freezer and storage in my basement.
I love grocery shopping too but I love that I don't have to "fit it in" on my days off. I go online on a Thursday, buy all my food and they deliver it whenever I want (which I usually pick Saturday). Not too early either so I can sleep later. If I was to go to the store, I would have to get dressed and ready, take an hour-an hour and a half there, pack up my car, take it all in the house and then put it away. With Peapod I can throw on my robe, comb my hair and get my groceries brought into my house, put right on my table-lol!! Just have to put it away :)
For some people, it's no fun not to plan everything.
I could never have groceries deliver.
I shop as needed during the week, but I usually take a big shopping trip Saturday morning, since the shops are closed on Sundays here. That is when I will go to the fish market and get fresh fish, the large outdoor vegetable market for nuts, olives and any interesting herbs or veggies, the butcher who has good lamb etc. It is nice.
