We have a beautiful, cherry three piece armoire in our tv room. I bought it on clearnace for about a thousand dollars from a jcp furniture store a few years ago, I don't even know if they jcp furniture stores anymore, Ha!

I don't know either, but I wish I did because I'm a big fan.  I bought a sectional from them way back in 1985, and it was in great structural condition when I got rid of it 2 years ago.  The upholstery was a different story, but hey for a 30 year old sofa, you kind of have to expect it :)  I would totally buy another sofa from JCP.

1.  What did you last eat

I just finished up a tomato omelet.

2. What is for dinner tonight

Not sure. I threw some cheap round steaks into the crockpot along with carrots and onion this morning. What I make with it will entirely depend on how many people I'm feeding. At the moment, dh has an evening class, dsd is at her mother's house, dss may or may not be home depending on his GF's work schedule, and I think dd was making plans to see a movie with her BF, which will probably entail dropping them off at the mall before I'm ready to make dinner. Maybe it'll just be me and ds. If that's the case, dinner will just be roasted beef with a cucumber salad.

3.  What is the most expensive piece(s) of furniture you own and how long have you had it

We aren't expensive furniture people. My favorite piece of furniture is the kitchen table I'm currently sitting at. It was a rescue piece, literally falling apart. Dh reinforced it and added some cherry wood to frame the original top, then we sanded it down to perfection and refinished it. We turned a landfill-worthy table into something functional and beautiful for less than $50 in materials.

Mostly we buy cheap furniture though. I outfitted the kids' living room with a set of furniture from the Art Van clearance center last fall for about $600. By the time they destroy it, I'll be ready to look at something new anyhow. I also love Ikea because I'm a sucker for $19 bookcases and $12 end tables.

4.  What is your clothing style

I live the neutral spectrum. My wardrobe is mostly black. I worked in a red scarf this winter and I liked it, but bright and vibrant makes me feel conscpicuous. I feel more comfortable blending into the background. Right now, I'm wearing black pants with a black long-sleeved scoop neck t-shirt underneath a short-sleeved black cardigan.

5.  What are your weekend plans

My brother and SIL are coming over Saturday night for a low-carb dinner and drinks. I'm making homemade chicken alfredo with vegetables and I'm going to attempt some low-carb Belgian waffles with whipped cream and strawberries for dessert. Dh has class on Friday night and Saturday afternoon, so I'll probably spend most of that time getting ahead on some school work.

If, by some miracle dss comes home tonight or tomorrow afternoon and moves into his brother's room, then I'll start on a small renovation project. Dd and I went out yesterday and bought paint, curtains, and wood flooring to install in what will be her "new" room. Dss has had three weeks notice and I teasingly declared him officially evicted yesterday. What he doesn't realize is that despite the smile on my face and the good-natured tone in my voice, I meant it, and if he's not out within a few days, I'll order the other children to pack up his things in random order and he'll never find anything ever again, especially his national guard uniform components that will earn him PT. *evil stepmother laugh* The dumbest part? The reason he hasn't finished the work is because he spends most nights at his GF's apartment. So while the two girls are tripping over their things in the same room, his room sits empty.

2.  What is for dinner tonight - I don't know yet, I think it will just be dh and I so we may try a new local restaurant.

3.  What is the most expensive piece(s) of furniture you own and how long have you had it - Probably my grandmothers dining room table, I didn't pay for it but it cost a lot to restore.  I have had it for about 3-4 years, my grandmother when my mother was a litle girl.

1. Breakfast at the hotel buffet. Fried egg, two links sausage, yogurt and some melon 2. Going out for dinner. Probably Persian 3. A 17th century chest on chest that's been in my husband's family since it was made. It came with my husband. 4. I like simple, uncomplicated clothes. Natural fabrics, classic styles. I am wearing a scarf, sweater and cardigan from Coldwater Creek with a navy pinstripe pencil skirt, plain hose and black pumps. Same sweaters and scarf I am wearing in this video if you want to check it out. http://youtu.be/dSgyu9j0-iE. 4. Conference lasts until tomorrow afternoon. Six hour drive home, then church tomorrow followed by whatever housekeeping disaster awaits me after being gone for three days.

1. A probiotic yogurt shake

2. Thai food - anniv dinner with dh

3. Must be my leather sectional and accompanying pieces; $1500? I don't remember.  Bought it in May of 2007.

4. modern professional i guess. don't know that it has a name.  Wait, does "Talbot's" count as a style?

5. Anniv dinner with dh tonight, then salsa lessons at a local club with him, my two BFFs and their significant others. One is dating a new guy we haen't met yet, so we're excited.  But I'm recovering from bronchiits, so don't know how long i'll feel up to staying out or how much dancing i'll feel up to.   The Girl has a guard contest tomorrow.  The Boy has bowling. Doubt I'll do my usual Zumba (aforementioned bronchitis).  If my HS girls' bb teams wins tonight, we'll go see them play in the state championship tomrrow - second year in a row!  The rest for me. :)    What I really want to do is go see my mom; she's in the hosp an should be released today, but with me avhing been sick it won't be good for either one of us to be around each other.

1.  What did you last eat?

Am eating a very large honeycrisp apple and just polished off a peanut butter pretzel Luna bar. It is a very late, post-workout brekkie. W/English Toffee coffee w/vanilla soy.

2.  What is for dinner tonight?

No clue. Something w/roasted cabbage...maybe corned beef a week early?

3.  What is the most expensive piece(s) of furniture you own and how long have you had it?

I honestly don't know. We've inherited a great deal of furniture: dining room set, little bitty's bedroom set, guest bedroom set, our bedroom stuff--I'm guessing some of that would be but IDK and I'm not willing to part with it anyway. I love the memories associated w/all that furniture. As far as buying furniture: with kids,an enormous golden, and a DH who is messier than my kids, I kind of think buying expensive furniture is utterly asinine at this stage of the our lives. I'm actually about to ask DH if we can replace our not quite five year old couches w/new ones from Ikea. The Ektorp model with machine washable slipcovers would fit my asthetic and need for clean better than our current upholstered couches.

4.  What is your clothing style?

Depends on where I'm going, what I'm doing and what season it is. Winter? Skinnies and a sweater w/boots or flats because I'm pertetually cold. Summer? A dress or capris and a tunic with wedges. I usually dress pretty casually.

5.  What are your weekend plans?

We have a blissfully low-key, nothing planned but church on Sunday weekend. DD is between cheer season and soccer season, DS has baseball practice Sunday evening, but there is nothing else on the agenda right now and I'm looking forward to just hanging w/the rugrats.

On Wednesdays we wear pink.
