i checked the answers from the link i pulled the question from and a lot of the answers were along these same lines, but i don't think you need to be a churchgoer or a person of faith to practice humility.

Yes, those are good.
To go one step further, I would say that in many cases "noble poverty" is a form of false humilty, not humbleness. Am I going to be in trouble for using THAT term?

I think modest and unassuming are good synonyms for what I think of when I think of a humble personality.

Egd, I want you to explain what it is you think is different about what I said in other threads and what I said about raising my children to believe that they are no more or no less special than any other person on the planet. "Okay fine" is not debate. It is the sort of response one expects from a spoiled middle schooler.
