And, again, the only person who has been posting veiled insults is you....but nobody can figure out what you're saying. It's funny that you say the debate is over...several of us have actually tried to debate, but instead of responding in kind, you continue to badger bord. For what, is still yet to be dertermined.

I thought you said that there were differences, not similarities between what you think I said in the other thread and my comment that I I have raised my kids to believe that they were no more or less special than any other people on the planet.

Egd, I want you to explain what it is you think is different about what I said in other threads and what I said about raising my children to believe that they are no more or no less special than any other person on the planet. "Okay fine" is not debate. It is the sort of response one expects from a spoiled middle schooler.

"teaching a child that they are no more or less special than anyone else is a far cry from pretending that differences (advantages or disadvantages) don't exist at all."

"Maybe we should define what humble means. What traits are we looking for, to determine if our kids are humble, if we are humble? and what are some specific ways we can accomplish that?"

"Your question would be easier to answer if you would define humble."

I think modest and unassuming are good synonyms for what I think of when I think of a humble personality.

Yes, those are good.
To go one step further, I would say that in many cases "noble poverty" is a form of false humilty, not humbleness. Am I going to be in trouble for using THAT term?
