1. Have you gone shopping for your Turkey (and trimmings) yet? Nope. I'm not hosting.

2. Have you started holiday shopping yet? I haven't started shopping, but I've been working on handmade gifts for a couple months now.

3. Weekend plans? I think I may go get stone from my parents house to build a garden bed on the side of my house.

Nope, but then again I don't make the turkey or the trimmings so I won't be shopping for them.

2. Have you started holiday shopping yet?

If you mean Christmas?

Having chicken instead of turkey. Turkey can be overkill if we have a small group (6 this year). A few years ago DD1 suggested why not have chicken instead of turkey. It made a whole lot of sense. We all like chicken better that turkey and not so much left over. Whole chickens were on sale last week so I have that already. Tomorrow when I do my regular grocery shopping I will pick up a few items for the meal that are on sale.

2. Have you started holiday shopping yet?

I have a bit done. At the age my kids are there is not as much shopping to do because their gifts can be pricey.

3. Weekend plans?

Nothing, DH will be working. I have been battling a cold so have not yet decided if I will have a lazy weekend or a productive one.

Not yet. I have to cook a Caribbean dinner for 200 the Sunday before Thanksgiving and haven't been able to think beyond that.

2. Have you started holiday shopping yet?

Yes. I usually pick up a lot of gifts over the course of the year when we are travelling. One of the little girls I buy for turned seven this year, and I traditionally buy 7 year old girls an American Girl doll, and she of course wanted the one they are discontuing, so I had to go buy her before they sold out.

3. Weekend plans?

Yeah, but nothing really interesting.

My mom prepared a chicken one year for the exact same reason, she tried to pawn it off as a "teeny turkey".

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving on this side of the pond, although Bonfire Night was great fun :o)

2. Have you started holiday shopping yet?

No, I've got DS's birthday to do first. One major spending spree at a time, lol!

3. Weekend plans?

Going to see my mum who is recovering from an operation, with some vitamin and herb supplements to help her heal.
