Friday Fluff

Lets do this every Friday ... 5 questions ...

1. Do you have Monday off for MLK day?

2. If you went to college, were you in a sorority?

3. What is your favorite TV show?

4. What's in your CD player right now?

5. Are your parents still alive?

Choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color.  Choosing your socks by their character makes no sense and choosing your friends by their color is unthinkable.

1. Do you have Monday off for MLK day? Yes, and the kids do too.

2. If you went to college, were you in a sorority? Sort of, we had social service clubs not sororities or fraternities.

3. What is your favorite TV show? I admit I like Survivor. . .and I've gotten into watching CSI with dd1, then ER on Thursday nights.

4. What's in your CD player right now? Elton John's "The Bitch is Back"

5. Are your parents still alive? My mother is, but my father died 10 years ago at 43 years of age. He died of liver cancer that originated in his ascending colon.

"Cold" has become a relative term for me. School is closed today because with wind chill factored in, it's supposed to be -45!! It was over 20 degrees the other day and it was positively balmy! I went out without my jacket!

To answer your questions for Friday Fluff day:

1. Do you have Monday off for MLK day?

Yes. As does DS.

2. If you went to college, were you in a sorority?

Hell no. (Although I did write three articles about Greek clubs last year for a Greek national publication so I came away with a favorable impression.)

3. What is your favorite TV show?

West Wing and that new show about Las Vegas.

4. What's in your CD player right now?

Nothing. It's broken.

5. Are your parents still alive?

Father -- no. Mother -- I don't know.

<1. Do you have Monday off for MLK day?> Yes. Didn't used to, but the company that bought us out always had it off.

<2. If you went to college, were you in a sorority?> No. I took the 17 year plan to finish college. I think it might have looked silly for a 34 yo pregnant woman to be in a sorority, doncha think? LOL!

<3. What is your favorite TV show?> CSI (LOVE William Peterson) and Without a Trace (LOVE Anthony LaPaglia). Also lots of stuff on HGTV (Designer's Challenge, Design on a Dime, and some TLC stuff).

<4. What's in your CD player right now?> A Bon Jovi greatest hits CD.

<5. Are your parents still alive?> YES, THANK GOD! They're my right arm. I can't imagine what life would be like without them. Mom just turned 72 and is in somewhat good health. She's one of my best friends and she adores my boys - she adores all her grandchildren but she gets to see mine most often. Dad will be 78 next month and is a marvel. Takes only cholesterol medication. No arthritis, no heart problems, no nothing. He looks great for his age, at least 10 years younger. He adores my kids and my kids adore him. Can't ask for more than that.

1. Do you have Monday off for MLK day?

Nope...the kids are out of school that day, so I have FULL TIME duty...lol

2. If you went to college, were you in a sorority?

Didn't go to college, and you couldn't have gotten me into a sorority if that had paid for my college in FULL.
