1. What's the most recent concert you've been to? Any upcoming concert plans? What has been your favorite concert? -- Most recent (non-kid, non-community bands) was James Taylor in Feb of 2011.  We went with my parents. (and sat next to my boss and his wife ... lol)

2. What's for dinner? -- curried chicken legs, roasted cauliflower, garlic bread

3. Weekend plans? -- the looooooooong drive to Albuquerque and back. This will be the kids' last spring break visit with their dad.  We are going to a fancy schmancy steak place for dinner though on Sat night. And we're going to try to hit a prom dress store in ABQ.

4. If you went to college, what was your most favorite course? And was that course related to your major? -- Either Promotional Strategies (part of my marketing major requirements) or Quantitative Methods (MBA statistics course).

5. March Madness. Even though the brackets haven't been drawn, any predictions for the Final Four or other thoughts? -- Just really hoping OSU gets a good seed.   Predictions are that we might get as high as a five seed!

1.  My first, last and only concert (aside from occasional holiday dealios on the Capitol Lawn on major summer holidays :D) was David Cassidy back we were TOTALLY cool if we had an apple core necklace on a leather thong.  :)  I prefer my music at a much lower volume.

2.  Dunno.

3.  I need to make a dump run on Saturday and then sewing the rest of the weekend.

4.  I liked Fortran :)

5.  My only thought is that it will take too damn long and bump too many shows that I'd rather watch.

1. What's the most recent concert you've been to?  Any upcoming concert plans?  What has been your favorite concert?

Last fall, we saw the Silversun Pickups and the Wombats (twice.) I haven't found any local tour dates yet for the summer for the bands I'd like to see.

I'm totally geeked about NIN reassembling and touring this upcoming fall. If they play any venue between Cleveland and Chicago, we'll go the distance to see them. Trent Reznor will be spending early summer touring with his project band, How to Destroy Angels, and I'd like to see them, though we'll only buy tickets if they play somewhere close, like Detroit.

My favorite concert... I've loved almost all of them. My favorite recent concert was seeing the Wombats play in an itty bitty 400-person venue.

2. What's for dinner?

This is really funny. Beef stew. I'm serious. I shouldn't have read the Great Beef Stew Interrogation thread.

Actually, I'm planning on following up the stew with homemade soup on Saturday. I'm going to make some homemade bread, kind of a final "winter menu" weekend since all of the kids will be home. (My stepkids usually go to their mother's on the weekend.)

3.  Weekend plans?

Painting a bedroom and maybe putting down a wood floor. Not sure. Dh has class, I need to finish a book, complete some Chemistry homework, and do some textbook reading.

4. If you went to college, what was your most favorite course? And was that course related to your major?

My favorite course so far, hands down, has been Sociology: Social Problems. It was my absolute favorite, probably because I had an excellent professor. The adjunct who had been scheduled to teach the class had some kind of emergency situation and the class was nearly canceled, but the dean of the college pulled a favor and asked an old friend to come stand in. I got a University of Michigan PhD for the low, low price of community college tuition. His class cemented my inkling to make sociology my major. A close second would be the World Civilizations course I'm currently in. Again, career professor with a fascinating depth of knowledge.

5. March Madness. Even though the brackets haven't been drawn, any predictions for the Final Four or other thoughts?

There's not a single sports fan in my house.

1. What's the most recent concert you've been to? Any upcoming concert plans? What has been your favorite concert?

I don't even remember...I think there's been one fairly recently but I don't remember what it was.  No plans for anything in the future...as a rule, I do not enjoy live music.

ETA:  I just remembered!  Summer before last I actually went to three concerts...first I'd been to in probably 20 years.  They were Chris Isaak, Blues Traveler and Styx.  I think Styx was the most recent.

2. What's for dinner?

Whatever gets served at the Thirty-One party I'm going to tonight.

3. Weekend plans?

Nothing overly thrilling.  I have a massage tomorrow night.  Sometime during the afternoon tomorrow I have to go pick up my grandmother to take her to spend the night at my mom's house.  Groceries.  I'll need to get Joel out of the house a time or two, so that he's tolerable next week.

4. If you went to college, what was your most favorite course? And was that course related to your major?

Medical terminology.  Had nothing to do with my major...I was working in a medical office and thought it would be a good idea to know what people were talking about.  :)

5. March Madness. Even though the brackets haven't been drawn, any predictions for the Final Four or other thoughts?

No idea.  I generally don't know anything about it unless VCU is playing.  And then I want to leave town.LOL

1. What's the most recent concert you've been to?  Any upcoming concert plans?  What has been your favorite concert? Not sure, I go very rarely. Several years ago I went to a REM concert here in Athens, which was very boring. The one time I remember enjoying a concert was when I saw John Lee Hooker in a club in LA. That was a looooong time ago, lol.

2. What's for dinner? We have our main meal at lunch. Today it was sausage (rare), sauteed leeks with garlic and balsamic and a salad of grated/shredded carrot, beet and red cabbage + almonds, lemon and olive oil.

3.  Weekend plans? Not that I know of. Dh is busy with work, and I have a lesson tomorrow.

4. If you went to college, what was your most favorite course? And was that course related to your major? I had fun with calculus (which I had never had a chance to take in HS), which was not in my major. I also enjoyed Ancient Greek, which was part of my major.

5. March Madness. Even though the brackets haven't been drawn, any predictions for the Final Four or other thoughts? This must be some kind of sports reference. So, beats me!

It's been years ago now-- Red Hot Chili Peppers when DD was a baby.  We were supposed to go to a Walk Off the Earth concert, but Hurricane Sandy stopped that from happening.  :(

2. What's for dinner?

I think DH is making roast beef hash?

3.  Weekend plans?

None that I know of.

4. If you went to college, what was your most favorite course? And was that course related to your major?

Probably one of my German history classes.  It was related to my majors.

5. March Madness. Even though the brackets haven't been drawn, any predictions for the Final Four or other thoughts?

1. What's the most recent concert you've been to?  Any upcoming concert plans?  What has been your favorite concert?

It's been awhile since I have been to a concert. Probably my son's orchestra concert last spring.  My favorite concert of all time?  Probably Joan Baez with my sister, many years ago at the Hollywood Bowl.

2. What's for dinner?
Fajitas with whole wheat tortillas, flank steak, grilled peppers and onions, and the world's easiest cilantro sauce:  A bunch of cilantro, two tablespoons of sour cream, and a jar of good quality salsa (or homemade if you are up for it) pulsed in the blender until the cilantro is all chopped.  Everybody likes it, even Vegetarian Boy.

3.  Weekend plans?  Cleaning house, and if the weather stays nice, beginning spring yard work.

4. If you went to college, what was your most favorite course? And was that course related to your major?  Okay, you are asking me to go back a very long way!  I have a few memories of outstanding courses.  A historical linguistics course.  I was double majoring at the time in History and Linguistics.  A history professor (Edwin A. Gaustad) whose lectures on early American religious history were so good that I ended up taking something like four of his courses even though I only needed one.  Ended up with an undergraduate minor in the History of Religion that helped me decide my graduate emphasis.   I actually really loved my "Physics for Poets" class -- that wasn't the real name for it, it was sort of physics light -- and still remember things I learned in that class that have come in handy as my younger son has had this fascination with human spaceflight for the last decade or so.  In graduate school, every seminar I took in the history department was more fascinating than the last.

5. March Madness. Even though the brackets haven't been drawn, any predictions for the Final Four or other thoughts?  Thanks for reminding.  Last year I was one step ahead of the law in breaking up an illegal gambling ring my son organized.  I'd better get my vigilance on.  That boy isn't the kind to give up after one try.  The other thing is that my pastor did her seminary training at Duke, and as soon as March Madness starts, every sermon gets back to the tournament somehow.  It gets tiresome.
