I can maybe, sort of, barely see it for a wedding, but there is no way in hell that I would even consider spending that type of money for prom, nor would I allow my kids to do it. Nobody NEEDS long hair.

No, nobody NEEDS long hair. Some people like long hair.

If your child bought the extensions for prom with her OWN money, how could you not ALLOW her (especially at that point most kids are 18 or almost 18)?

"Extensions? They want longer hair faster than it takes to grow it." Yeah, I get the basic idea, I guess I just don't understand why some *average* person would pay for it. Just seems like a waste to me. It's not the end of the world to actually have to wait for it to grow out.

Many people do it for special occassions like weddings or proms, etc. I wanted them because my hair has been growing unevenly. I know others do it when they have very thin hair. For the amount of money it cost, I will grow mine out as much as I can for the amount of time I have and then figure it out then. I kick myself for cutting my hair short for years. I had it long many years ago and should have kept it. It is growing fast though so I can't complain. Just wish it was almost my wanted length.

I have never understood why people pay for expensions. Seems like such a waste.

I always thought I wanted three, but I've made my peace with one of each.

3.  Do you/do you plan to color your hair or let it go naturally gray?

I color.

On Wednesdays we wear pink.

I wouldn't know if I have a lot of grays because I haven't seen my real color in years.

So funny that after you start coloring your hair, you don't remember your REAL color. lol. When I went back to all brown, people would say you colored your hair, I said, no, this is my real color. It is soooo much easier and cheaper to just color the grays now. The $10 every other month is worth it and the 10 years of highlighting was hurting my hair. I am trying to grow it out now and I still have a spot where the hair will not grow so one side is shorter than the other. It is driving me nuts but not going to do anything for awhile. Wanted to do extensions but my girl said it would be $600 so I have decided that I will see how my hair is at the time I want to get it cut and shaped and then maybe just leave it or get extensions on the side (just to use for a short while).

little league games, a moving away party for a family in the 'hood.  That one's going to be sad. :(

Yes.  We briefly entertained having 1 more, but are glad to have the 3, closely spaced.  It's worked out well.

I do not have the cool salt and pepper look. Mine is graying in patches.  Some areas no gray, others lots of gray..
