Does anybody besides me ever take the kids to Staples for school stuff and spend megabucks, only to discover a small fortune in used-but-still-serviceable items from last year hiding under the furniture and stuffed into closets?

There are loads of studies out there that disprove what you just stated. Parental involvement in schools really does improve education.

I guess it would depend on where the child's school is, most teacher I know either teach in the district that the child attends or the same school.

I would like to see a study that compares countries with high parental involvement to ones that don't.

I don't know that is a technical difficulty that would need to be settled by an official PTA sahm. I'm not qualified to decide whether that counts.

And I have to be honest, are you really sure you were there, becuase you are a wohm, so really it's just not possible. Could it have been a listera-induced hallucination?
