1, Yes,  up to now when we have had freezing weather but it has been dry so has not effected driving.  Last night we had sleet, ice and in some areas snow.  All the area schools are closed.  As of yesterday I was scheduled to go in at 10:00 but I am going to call my boss and tell him to give me a call if UPS shows.  If they do not then I have nothing to do, I took care of everythng else before I left yesterday because of going in late.  DH is scheduled to go in at noon.

2,  Nothing sceduled aside from routine weekend stuff. May see a movie.  We are suppposed to be back up into the 60s for the weekend so hopefully will get some outside exercise in.

3.  Some time in May we are going to Michigan so see my family.  We did not make our planned trip there last year because of DD1's  journey.

Yep, it is 12 degrees right now but feels like -6.

2. Plans for weekend?

Dress shopping for dd who is going to a Sweet Sixteen next weekend, dh is doing a defensive driving class tomorrow (type of class to save 10% on your insurance), track meet, food shopping, cleaning the house as my dh's high school friend is coming into town and staying a night or two, pro-bowl.

3. Any vacation plans yet?

Yep, celebrating dd's Sweet Sixteen on a cruise Laughing

1.  Are you part of this cold mess? -- Cold, yes. Very.  But it's not a mess here as we have no precip.

2. Plans for weekend? -- Dh is out-of-town for a baby shower for his nephew.   The Boy has a bday party to attend tonight, so The Girl and I are having a snacky dinner (pesto, goat cheese, bread, olives, shrimp, cocktail sauce) and watching An Officer and a Gentleman.  Tomorrow The Girl has a guard contest, so it will be just me and The Boy. He has bowling league in the morning. In the evening, we'll have movie theatre popcorn and watch The Fly (Jeff Goldblum version).  Backup or additional movies for the kid dates are The Godfather and Fargo. And I'll be taking  a huge stack of work home.

3. Any vacation plans yet? -- Nope. We're considering going to Connecticut over spring break, but don't know if airfare will drop enough.

We have been looking at price to MI.  Right now non-refundable are running about $341 but to get refundable it jumps up to over $1000.   We usually buy refundable ones because you never know what will happen.  But with that price difference we will probably go with the non-refundable but have to wait until we have our plans finalized and it gets much closer to the trip.

1.  Yes, it is currently 8 degrees but we are supposed to be in the 50's by Sunday.

2.  Yes.  The usual kid sporting events to watch, practice driving with the kid, big family dinner and I think there are some extra kids spending the night one of the nights.

3.  Yes, baseball and the beach, two of my favorite things!

1.  No, I stand aloof, rejecting the temps and the stoopid snow and the stoopid salt and the stoopid furnace that keeps stopping and the stoopid water pipes that freeze when you're not paying attention.  Oh, all right, fine.  I'm part of it, but not by choice or design.

2. Probably sewing.

3.Some.  I have the sewing and quilt expo in early March.  I also have a new grandson due in early March and will be taking time off for that as I will have older grandson duty then.  I have my 35th reunion in June, but probably won't go because we (me, son, DIL, new DGS--older DGS will be with his father during the summer) will be heading out to IL for the family reunion in late July or August.

Look into vacation insurance.  That might cover any possibilities that would delay your trip.

1.  Are you part of this cold mess?

Sort of. It's 48 right now. Much lower than average.

2. Plans for weekend?

County fair wtih the kids on Saturday, and going to a show on Sunday with a girlfriend.

3. Any vacation plans yet?

A quick trip to Orlando in May when my brother is coming for a visit, then later in the summer we'll be heading to New England to visit them!

1. Yes. The wind chill currently (noon) is -24. We're only expecting about 3 inches of snow, but gusty winds are supposed to blow it into terrorizing conditions.

2. No solid plans. Dh would like to do a few minor things around the house. I finished my first ArcGIS map project for school last week and I'm totally hooked, so my own personal plan is to spend a few hours toying with it to get a familiar feel of the software. No plans to go out and do anything or go anywhere, though.

3. Nothing outside of work trips. Dh's school program will run continuously through the end of July. I'm hoping to pick up some summer credits also. Maybe we'll fit in a weekend in Traverse City wine tasing or something, we'll see.
