We have finally made it to Friday. Crazy things in the news. Prayers out to everyone involved and hoping everyone stays safe.

1. Weekend Plans?

2. What's for dinner?

3. Did you have braces as a kid?

I'm not a big fan of Savannah Guthrie but I think she is handling the coverage and breaking news amazingly well today too.

DH's car is on its last leg and we may buy a new car this weekend (technically *used*), We've been going back and forth b/w buying him another sedan or him taking the volvo and us buying another family style car, Don't know yet.  There's a charity fundraiser at DD's school tonight and there is a horse show on Sunday.  Church fits in there somewhere.

Date night, We may do mexican.

I did.  But braces then were not like DD's Damon braces today.  Mine were these metal brackets that covered each tooth and the only "tightening" I remember was screwing them myself.  My dentist has actually advised getting braces again but I can't get past the costmetic look they'd only be for me at my age.  Each one of my kids are going to need them, DS will probably get them before DD2 b/c she has the straightest teeth of them all - Her bottom teeth esp are beautiful and incredibly straight.

Jams I had the same kind of braces-- horrible metal brackets-- the girls were SO much easier! And when she came out with the retainers and they were clear - one for topand one for bottom - I said "no fair! where's the ugly metal thing I had to wear!" LOL

I have to agree with you. I don't usually like her either but I keep turning the channel back to her as she seems to getting more news than CNN and she is just calm and reporting very well.

1. Weekend Plans?  Running both kids different places today.  I might go to a comedy show tonight.  Tomorrow dd1 performs with one dance class then both dds have another dance class.  Sat night is a Lock In at a Sports gym for dd1 and stupid me volunteered--or at least I said, put me down if you still need volunteers and of course they do.  Dd2 has a sleepover bday party elsewhere.  Sunday I guess I'll sleep.

2. What's for dinner?  A taco skillet kind of dish with some veggies.  And no it's not freakin' hamburger helper.  I'm not even making it with ground beef.  It's much healther ground moose.  Smile

3. Did you have braces as a kid? Yes I did.

Yep, I think she's better when she reports under pressure.

Your kids are at the age where they wear them, I'm surprised that none of them have started yet, if they all need them.  I thought dd1's teeth were great & wouldn't need them, but her bite was messed up.  Anyway, she's 16 and done.

My braces were different too, they were like a metal band around each tooth instead of the little squares that are glued on the front of their teeth now.  Is that what you meant?  Even when I was a kid, my other friends had the kind they use now.  I didn't tighten mine myself though.  Whenever I went to the ortho (probably every month or so) they put a new wire on & tightened them.
