We have finally made it to Friday. Crazy things in the news. Prayers out to everyone involved and hoping everyone stays safe.

1. Weekend Plans?

2. What's for dinner?

3. Did you have braces as a kid?

I'm not a big fan of Savannah Guthrie but I think she is handling the coverage and breaking news amazingly well today too.

DH's car is on its last leg and we may buy a new car this weekend (technically *used*), We've been going back and forth b/w buying him another sedan or him taking the volvo and us buying another family style car, Don't know yet.  There's a charity fundraiser at DD's school tonight and there is a horse show on Sunday.  Church fits in there somewhere.

Date night, We may do mexican.

I did.  But braces then were not like DD's Damon braces today.  Mine were these metal brackets that covered each tooth and the only "tightening" I remember was screwing them myself.  My dentist has actually advised getting braces again but I can't get past the costmetic look they'd only be for me at my age.  Each one of my kids are going to need them, DS will probably get them before DD2 b/c she has the straightest teeth of them all - Her bottom teeth esp are beautiful and incredibly straight.

1. Weekend Plans?   8 lacrosse games and lots of yardwork in between

2. What's for dinner?  I think dh is taking the younger three kids out for dinner.  Taking my 14 y/o to a friend's house for CPR-training.  The moms were invited too for happy hour/appetizers so dh will have the choice between leftovers (lasagna) and taking the kids out for ribs (my son was trying hard this morning to convince dh).

3. Did you have braces as a kid?  Yes

2. What's for dinner?  DH is making strawberry pancakes.

3. Did you have braces as a kid?  Nope, didn't need them.

1. Supposed to go out with another couple tonight but its getting complicated trying to pick a place Yard work/gardening/housework/shopping/errands Saturday. Sunday have to go to Jansad City for business. Hate business meetins on Sunday. 2. Dinner is anyone's guess at this point. Was going to be Japanese but other couple skittish. Maybe Thai but the Thai place that's good doesn't have a liquor license, and the Thai place that has booze doesn't have good food. The Brew Pub is too crowded on Friday blah blah blah. I may walk away from the argument and come home and have grilled cheese sandwiches. 3. I had braces in the back to correct an overbite.

Are they going?  There was a news report last night that said a school system in your state had cancelled the trip until DC's security ramp up stands down. (Well that's a different town and I think they were planning to leave today)

1. Weekend Plans? -- Oh man, where do I start?  10k race tomorrow, The Girl has prom tomorrow. I am supposed to be in OKC for pre-conference activities tomorrow afternoon but am not going until after prom pics are taken.  Then Sunday I have conference all day - including teaching/presenting a 4 hour workshop on Sunday morning.  Tonight is packing and prep, blah blah blah.  I'm gonna be nuts by Sat night!

2. What's for dinner? -- supposed to be cube steak milanese, garlic bread and asparagus. But I just remembered I didn't take the meat out of the freezer, so may have to change plans.

3. Did you have braces as a kid? -- No.  But I got them as an adult instead. Had them put on on my 38th birthday.

Weekend Plans?

Getting the girl ready for her 8th grade trip to DC which leaves on Sunday.. the lady is working

2. What's for dinner?

EITHER pasta or  pork chops... (apparently it's "P" night in our kitchen)

3. Did you have braces as a kid

oh yes.. form 7th grade to 10th.. THREE YEARS.. and I had head gear and elastics.. oh god  I was so ugly.. it was horrible.   the girl got hers off last summer after two years and it seemed much easier than in my day.. she wears her retainers at night and thats it now.. beautiful smile.. no more overbite or gap.. worth the (gulp) $5600 price tag!
