Seems like there are a lot of new posters, introductions?.....

-what does your poster name mean?

-what is your favorite room in your house?

-what is your favorite sandwich?

Jam, Seriously, why do you even CARE how or where my kids get their education? I have NEVER argued that one kind of education is superior or inferior to any other. I have always been grateful that we've had choices that meant we could find the right school for the kids depending in their needs and goals, but never have I insinuated that our choices were universally applicable. I have never understood the level of hostility the fact that my kids were in private school for awhile engendered in you. Never.

Spelling correction noted, but it still doesn't make sense.

Speaking of girl crushes...perhaps that's the obsession here?

Uhm, Just recognizing that schools have been a topic for debate here...  Plenty of times!  Save the personal stuff for someone else, We all make choices that are best for our children (or so I would hope).

Don't ask me then, "Test rats" come from somebody who is very anti-state tests and that was the word for them.. way back when!

I was never really all that concerned about "school success" for either of my kids. It never was my goal that they succeed at whatever the curriculum de jour happened to be. Rather, I wanted them to have the best education possible within our means. Sometimes that was a public magnet school (Child #1, elementary). Sometimes that was the neighborhood elementary school (Child #2, grades 2-5). Sometimes it was private school (Both kids, middle school/junior high; one kid all the way through to graduation). Now, it's a combination of public vocational school and college courses for the one I have left in school.

Bea--PM me your email. I'll send you an invitation to Coach's invitation-only outlet sales. Much, much better than paying retail. I really am impressed with how well constructed their stuff is--I've got a bit of a collection.

On Wednesdays we wear pink.
