Seems like there are a lot of new posters, introductions?.....

-what does your poster name mean?

-what is your favorite room in your house?

-what is your favorite sandwich?

Do you find the Subways to be the same or different in Europe?  We were surprised ourselves this past summer.

We don't have a gifted program, per se.   We have an "enrichment" program at the ES level. You do have to test into it, so it is similar to gifted programs. However, it's not quite the same as a "traditional" gifted program.  They really focus more on integrated projects that encourage critical thinking skills.

In MS, JH and HS, there isn't even an enrichment program. Instead, they have pre-AP and AP classes, and then some extracurriculars that allow for students to explore areas in which they are particularly suited.

Wow gifted before 8? Must be those private schools you use as most schools don't test that early.

How many in a "most"?  LoL

Here we go again with the genius kids. I feel like I never left here. My kid is in a real gifted and talented program. So what does that mean in the realm of things since it seems everyone has a genius kid?

You might want to reread because nothing was said about genius kids in this thread...  What do you mean by your kid in a "real gifted and talented program" are you claiming that others are not in a "real" program?

our public schools are really in crisis in my city.. my child routinely has classes of 30-35 ... one middle school math class had 45 in it and had to meet in the caferia.   It is truly a city in crisis
