How many of you have girl friends that you see on a regular basis, do things with or talk to often?

AWFUL is the spelling-lol!! Yep, I am correcting your grammar-lol!!

Nope, we do lots together. Just last night we went out together with friends. We spent almost every night together on vacation, dinner 5 out of the 7 days by ourselves and together alone (or out with new friends we made) late into the night. We spend a lot of time at home together and going out. We also feel we need time with our guy and girl friends by ourselves. Nothing wrong with that, IMO.

A typo, or spellling, is NOT grammar, but nice try.

This post a direct contradiction with your last. So, which is it, either you go out a lot, or you stay in a lot. Either you go out together a lot, or you do things seperately (b/c you can't afford a sitter). All of these things can't be true, if any of them are.

I have to say ... not having those close relationships, not having a social network, was one of the reasons my first marriage failed. Well, not really a reason, just something that caused the issues in our marriage to be exacerbated. I truly was pretty *alone* when we lived in AZ. So when we were hitting rough times in our marriage, I had no support, no one to talk to, etc. Made it really really rough. In those days, i was so overly involved in my kids' lives, that I lost myself as a person. Some people don't need that support/social network ... apparently I do.

Note: Please dont' take this to mean I think your marriage is in trouble! lol Just sharing ... not implying that your life will be like mine.

Well, if I'd just wear a lot of makeup, I'd be more appealing to my dh so I wouldn't need to workout.

It has nothing to do with being a better person. You were military, right? I assumed that you moved around a bit, and that finding trusted sitters might have been more of a challenge. I could not imagine living in my home town, having so many *good* friends, and not being able to find a sitter. Like I said, if the issue is being able to afford a sitter, then that's a differnt issue, but it's not what the op presented.
