Are you the parent that takes the kids trick or treating or the one that stays homes and gives out the treats?

I was always the one that took the kids out.

As a single mom, i get to do both. Lol. But back in my married days, we both took the kids out for a short while. Then I took dd back out again for a longer run while dh and ds stayed home and handed out candy.

Choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color.  Choosing your socks by their character makes no sense and choosing your friends by their color is unthinkable.

We are doing a block party this year with the houses immediately adjacent to ours. There will be around 6 families that will participate. Among the families there are a few teens that have offered to go around the neighborhood with the younger kids. So the adults will stay on my driveway handing out treats, eating burgers, and drinking beer and soda.

We both do both. We hand out glow sticks to trick-or-treaters while we take the kids from door to door. It works out because our kids are little and slow, we get most the neighborhood kids in that way.

We usually both go out to trick or treat. We live on a dead end street with 2 children beside ours. We don't have alot of trick or treaters.

I don't know what we are going to do this year. DH may have a chemo treatment on Friday so he may stay home with his step sister while I take the kids out.

Well this is the first time in 3 years we will be home for Halloween. Last year we visited one of my girlfriends in Vegas and the kids went trick or treating in her neighborhood. She and I took the kids out and dh hung out at the house. The 2 previous years we were in Hawaii and we went to Maui's big Halloween festival in Lahaina, so trick or treating was minimal.

This year, we'll probably trade off. Its getting pretty cold so I am sure there will be lots of *warm ups* at home between trick or treating (we usually have snow by now, its running about 30 degrees at night). Dh and I will just take turns.

I normally stay here, and this year I definitely won't be going anywhere... A 3.5 yo definitely has more stamina than I with my belly out to there.
