USA Today published an article based on a study of women at various stages of life, and found that the decade between 45-55 tends to be the one where women express the greatest contentment and score highest on various "happiness indices."

Well, I don't make 120K, dang it all, but maybe one of these days. Other than that, yes, I can at least somewhat relate. When I was young, I always imagined that I would like my 40s and 50s, because I would finally be free of the pressure to be cute/sexy/whatever. That has proved true.

I don't either and never will but it does say family not individual income.

Well I don't fit in yet but I will in 2 years, so I will now eagerly anticipate those years since I will be so happy, lol.

I fit in most of those, except for income, I'm not that high.

That was a huge wonderful step no longer worrying about "The Question".

Or at least with the kids. Now "The Question" when we want or need to travel is "What about Red.

Hmmm. I'm in that age range and many of those fit me, but my kids are still at home and I'm a caregiver for an older parent. I've enjoyed all the stages of my life so far, and I sure hope it isn't all downhill after 55 since that gives me only 3 more years.;) But based on my older siblings, who are 10+ years older than I am, I'm pretty sure there's life after 55.

I hear you. We just got there with dd2 about a year ago, and it is soooo nice not having to worry about getting a sitter anymore.

Right now I'm wallowing in the joy of the fact that they can let themselves out of their rooms in the morning and go play in the living room with each other.
