Do  you have a "Go to" stress reliever?

Do you have any big plans for the weekend?

Anything that you are looking forward to in the near future?

Do  you have a "Go to" stress reliever?

Usually being by myself in quiet.

Do you have any big plans for the weekend?

Not really. Dd, track practice, food shopping, laundry, cleaning the house and doing ds's science fair project.

Anything that you are looking forward to in the near future?

Warm weather :)

For stress relief, I like to do no brainer projects with immediate results. Gardening, sewing, decluttering, something not really mentally taxing. Physical exercise is good, too. 2. This weekend will see the beginning of serious Soring Cleaning. 3. My undergraduate students have been working all semester on a big interactive project that culminates in a week of presentations beginning April 9th. It is always fun to see what they come up with. Also, God willing, my younger one turns 18 this next week. I am expecting a tsunami of nostalgia to wash in any moment.

Unfortunately, food is my go to. Coffee is a close second. I am careful to avoid alcohol when I am stressed. No plans, except to try and get the family back into a routine. I am looking forward to my son coming home from a two week trip out of the country. .... and as I type, I am reminded that I am also looking forward to not cringing every time a helicopter flies over.

2. Spa day tomorrow with my daughter, including hair cut and color for both of us.

3. I'm taking a week off at Easter to do college visits, and gardening.

1. If I'm stressed to the point of pacing (nervous energy), then I will either get out one of my favorite The Firm CS (cardio and sculpt) workouts (CA&WT, Maximum Body Shaping or Total Body Shaping Mix) OR if I've already worked out that day or did weights the day before (so I can't do weights that day), I'll clean.  I've been known to get the entire house's floors hand scrubbed if I'm stressed enough.  I'm actually kind of hoping to get that stressed soon, because I need to wax the floors in the dining/living room :D

2. Besides waxing the living/dining room floors? LOL  I want to get a lot further on constructing my Mariner's Compass quilt.  All the blocks, except the queen extensions are complete and I've just started putting them together.  The early stages have a lot of curved seams, tho, so it's slow going.  I also need to square up and chainpiece the blocks to DGS2's bigger baby quilt.  (I did finally finish his first quilt the weekend before last and entered it into my quilt guild's show for next month, so I'll need to sew a hanging sleeve for it.)

3.  My parents are coming out at the end of this month to meet their new great grandson.  I'm eager for them to come out :)

Oh, and here's a picture of the finished baby quilt.

Do  you have a "Go to" stress reliever? Yep, go for a walk. I have a favorite route around the Acropolis, and there are a few spots along the way where I sometimes stop for a bit. It is both beautiful and historic, so it helps bring perspective.

Do you have any big plans for the weekend? Not "big," but I may end up seeing two friends whom I have not seen for a really long time.

Anything that you are looking forward to in the near future? Easter! Roast lamb, nuff said.

1. Cuddly time with my husband. Wine. Walking. Dinner with friends. I can't narrow it down.

2. Spent Friday with my SIL; took her to the Y with me for a class, went shopping with her, then my brother and dh got home and we had dinner/drinks until the wee hours of the night. It was awesome.

Oh, and we took a sledgehammer to our bathroom yesterday, got all of the toughest demo done.

3. YES! It's summer concert ticket buying season. So far, we're seeing Chevelle, Middle Class Rut, Soundgarden, NIN, and my newest obsession, CHVRCHES. We're taking the kids to see NIN for the first time. (They're both fans...) Dd almost has me talked into seeing Machine Gun Kelly later this month. And we have two float trips lined up in early summer already. So right as the spring semester tapers off, the fun begins.

Coming in a bit late...

Do  you have a "Go to" stress reliever?

Cooking.

Do you have any big plans for the weekend?

Nothing very exciting.  Worked a few hours yesterday; going in for a while today, too.  Yesterday Joel had a hair appointment and then we went shopping for summery work clothes for him.  After work today I will need to grocery shop.

Anything that you are looking forward to in the near future?

Nothing specific.
