I'd rather hang out and socialize at the bar ... lol.

Savcal--my daughter has gone to MS, new kids, and HS, new kids and I have met many of the parents she has gone to parties at (bday or other parties) but then again I see them at other sport events and community things. I have gone to other parties at their homes without my daughter also.

Having met the parents is way different than being friends with the parents.  Seeing the parents at sporting and community events is way different than being friends with the parents.    I have met, know and see the other parents quite often - but socializing with them all on a friendship basis would be next to impossible.

Shoot, I don't even "drop-off" and "pick-up" much anymore, much less go inside or stay.  The Girl drives herself ... and she often drives The Boy too.

Yes Chuckie Cheese, Laser Tag, Pet Store, Science, Amusement parks, etc. These last until at least the end of elementary school IME. I understand it is not the same everywhere.

My idea of hell.  The only saving grace of CeC is that they serve beer.

Why would it be next to impossible to be friends with other parents Savcal?

I didn't say it would be. I said "socializing with them all on a friendship basis" would be next to impossible.  There are only 24 hours in day, much of which is filled with work, personal responsibilities, parental duties, etc.  And there is only so much of me to go around.
