Well, what is he interested in? What are his hobbies and such? What kind of book are you thinking of getting him? Does he like poetry or like to write? Is he outdoorsy? Give me some clues here and I'll give you some gift ideas :o)

Hey! I'm on a budget here dearie! lol

I'm thinking, actually, of a John Irving book. One of the first topics we discussed in emails (before we met) was literature and what we liked. I told him my fave author of all time was John Iriving. He has subsequently purchased 2 Irving books and read a third. Seems to like them. So I was thinking of buying him another Irving book.

I wanna shy away from the DVDs because he has over 250! lol It would get lost among the masses he already owns.

Virgo nailed him (well, not *nailed* him .. heck I haven't even done that! lol). Computer geek that likes sci-fi. Likes rock and roll, with a penchant for the Alan Parsons Project.

I want the gift to be fairly inexpensive. Meaningful but not *too* meaningful. Not too serious, but not goofy. I'm stumped.

Is he interested in business? In baseball? Then there's a great book for him, Moneyball. I don't know the name of the author, because I bought the book for my dad and wrapped it already.

It's about how different baseball teams use the money they have, and how their different fiscal attitudes affect their performance on the field. I heard the author talking on NPR, and it was fascinating.

Congratulations! I'm so happy to hear it. I just heard the good news and popped back over, just in case you were still checking in.

Good question! I wish I could help but honestly, I don't even know what to get for the guy I'm moving in with in February. I'm really, REALLY bad at gifts for men.

So...I might borrow some of the suggestions you get, if you don't mind!LOL

I like the book idea, but then again I don't think you can ever have too many books, (or shoes or sweaters, but that's another topic)....what about a nice book and maybe an interesting book mark to go along with it.
