And this is one of the main reasons poorer people tend to be overweight. That kind of stuff is much cheaper than healthier stuff. And it all comes down to the evil corn lobby and a need to find a use for all that government subsidized (price protected) corn.

Sometimes, I miss the days when I was content to buy hamburger helper, frozen pizzas, and ramen and my grocery bill was less than $50 a week.

i rarely spend more htan 150.00 a wk for groceries. but its' when i think i'ev bought little that the total surprises me the most, LOL.

a hundred dollars a week is little if that's what you mean, i agree....the week OF christmas i did my grocery store run but just the bare minimum, milk and oj, stocked up on some meats on sale that i could freeze but certainly didn't do my normal shopping run because i knew we were going out of town..final cost at check-out still came to, about 112.00, i bought nothing, LOL!
