And the love I have for my family and friends is to display pictures of many phases and special events in their life in my home.

If you walk into my house and look around, you will see a lot about us simply by the objects I have a choose to display. It is not a carbon copy of anyone else's home. I do not see, truly, how our personalities could be any more apparent if we were to hang a bunch of family photos up or put them out on shelves or tabletops. Our shelves are full of books. Our tabletops have bowls and baskets on top as catch-alls, but mostly we use them to hold magaziness or as a place to set our drinks down.

i bet many of those so called homes on those multiple listing sites that have their personal items and photos displayed have not been sold and are still on the market.

Do you honestly need links to prove to you that taking down your personal photos and items is a advantage to selling your home and keeping them out is a don't do?

Because I originally said, "I have feeling you and I would disagree quite a lot about what is and is not tacky home decor." You seemed to indicate that if you could afford it, you would like to have a Thomas Kincaid painting in your home. That indicates to me that we have different taste.

I went back to look, and you did not answer the question. You said that I mentioned some changes I wanted to make to the living room. The things I want to change do not include displaying family photographs in the main living room. As it stands, did my living and dining area look cold to you?

No, no one can buy the artwork I have in my home. It's one of a kind. No prints. Only one copy.

Of course, at a wake you would display pictures of the deceased. That's completely irrelevant.

Oh my....if YOU did not have the artwork, YES, someone else COULD have bought it.

I never even considered the possibility of gifts, mainly because I didn't think I was having a wedding with people at it.,
