We ALL took responsibility IME.

Not sure what you mean to "integrate" the guest list. We had sit down dinner so my parents and my mil made up seating charts. We had no children at our wedding and we did have older people.

My parents had a room for conversation with quiet background music (harp IIRC). They had a dj and a dance floor separate from it.

There was a common bar area (yeah my friends and family had a common interest in alcohol). My mother, an unbelievably charming woman, worked all the rooms.

If you watched all of the designer shows, you would know that they do recommend removing personal photographs when selling a house. But also, that there are tons of other personalization things people do that realtors/designers recommend changing to sell a house.

Um, I hate to be Captain Obvious here but if it's original artwork...that pretty much makes it unique and one of a kind, unlike photos which are often copied. For example, there are a handful of people who have the exact same pictures of my kids in their home...relatives.

I have seen artwork at wakes, favorite paintings...and so forth, yes I have.

Oh my....but they COULD have. THAT is the point. NO ONE else is buying and displaying your personal photo's that have made memories through the years for YOU.

Ok, who said anyone NEEDED to display a photograph to remind them of their wedding day? I have a wedding album, an album of proofs, a couple personal albums of pictures family and friends took and a wedding video.

In my neighborhood, people don't have to walk into a house to know that it's different from someone else's...the houses, yards are all unique, no cookie cutter subdivision here. It starts on the outside, ime.
