Again, I have said that things like school pictures and family vacations do have duplicates in different homes. Most of my pictures are one of a kind though.

I chuckled because the reverse is true for me and some of my artwork, the artist gave birth to me, lol. I think though its time to take them down as the "play room" for the boys has officially turned into the "weight room" for the boys this Christmas. Time for the paintings to be put away for my grandchildren. They are really cute and one of a kind.

If everyone has a wedding photograph in their living room, it's a sign of conformity. Even if one is a super arty beautiful photo and the other is a snapshot someone took with a disposable camera.

I have a large wedding photograph. I do not have it hung up in my home. It's currently in a drawer, along with photos of my parents and the kids and a couple of other things. It's one of the things I may hang when I make a photo wall (probably on the stairs). I do not want and will not display a large wedding photo in my living room. Period.

You're sweet, and you haven't even been here. Come visit, and I'll make cookies. To me, nothing says inviting and warm like the smell of something cooking or baking.

I think you forget that artwork can also have memories with them, I know much of mine do.

Again, not everyone has the same type of picture and displays it the same way, in the same place.

Large, like what, 8 x 10?

Yes it can but, IMO, I have more personal photo's than artwork.

Definitely. Our artwork was purchased on a vacation, so it's very memorable.

I think it's about 8 x 10. I really prefer photos 5 x7 or smaller. Maybe that's what I'll do . . . Shrink it a bit.
