LOL, I guess she had some modicum of wit, even as a child. The POV of the nurse is almost identical, BTW, to that of dh's grandma on these matters. Plus ça change.

Yes, I agree. Teens may be unbearable, but they do actually crave the good opinion of their elders under all the eye rolls and crankiness.
