Then why did you use it and "puffy heart" the poster who used text speak so liberally?

You support immaturity? Or not (we know where you're coming from)

Inquiring minds want to know?

Dh, Dd and ds are simply abbreviations for Dear husband, Dear Daughter, etc. They're used almost exclusively in message board and chat environments.

BFF stands for Best Friend Forever, and is used extensively (although not exlcusively) in message board and chat environements.

I don't say Dee-Aitch, or Dee-Ess verbally. I also don't say Bee-Eff-Eff verbally.

Yes, I said message boards. I didn't say "just ivillage".

Not ime. I see BFF used all the time on message boards ... particularly to distinguish between boyfriends (which can be abbreviated BF) and best friend (which can be abbreviated BF).

No. Do you talk to people IRL about your husband and kids as DEAR HUSBAND and DEAR DAUGHTER and DEAR SON?

I do not refer, IRL, to my best friend as my BEST FRIEND FOREVER. But I do refer to her as my BEST FRIEND. So, in that light, it's more appropriate to abbreviate her as BFF on boards than it is to abbreviate my husband as dh.
